There's a new beta in our accounts that fixes the preset browsing issue in Bitwig. There were also times wen the wavetables were switching really slow for me, though may have ben a while back, haven't been using it. Anyways now presets and wavetables seem to switch very fast, everything seems good. Using the VST3 version.

Sonically I think Ana must be my favorite synth.

The VST3 GUI loads about 50% faster for me now. YES! thank you Sonic Academy, there is hope for me.
The VST2 GUI is still mega slow to load.
(osx14.6, 16mb ram, 2.7ghz i7 macbook pro)

Now if they'd implement proper DPI awareness in Windows, would be quite nice. Probably that's why is having so many gui issues - suboptimal implementation from the start

There are 3 additional sample oscillators. I know thats not what you're asking for but yea that's what it offers

It has three very simple sample player units, but you can’t pipe the audio of a oscillator into the sampler.

Just checked, it's 140 pounds on the SA site. I bought it for 45 pounds or so few months ago, I think it probably will go back to that price at some point.

I think it was £69 last week when I checked. I bought it when it was £49 and I remember people saying several times that it was still cheap and looked like it was never going back to full price. This is the first time I've ever seen it at full price (not that I'm in the habit of checking regularly or anything).

Yeah, it still gets a bit of use here. It's never been a go-to for my main project, although we find uses for it now and then, but I use it in pretty much all the 80s covers I do. Most of the time it's a variation on A Beautiful Dread Lead but it also does great basslines. I was just thinking the other day that I need to think of using it more often because I haven't really done more than scratch the surface with it.

I wonder if it is good for weird experimental kind of sound design with those morph and fm modulations and the samplers of course, the UI looks very good and easy to use (especially the modular rack skin)

I would imagine so, it's pretty versatile. But, as I said, I've not really dived too deeply into it.

oh, they've implemented multi-sampling. I knew this was on the roadmap, though I'm not sure i care that much. Would prefer timestretch/granular as it's more useful for sound design in a synth. Mostly I was hoping they'd change how the sample parameters work, so that changing one parameter doesn't change another one.
