It's only been a couple of days. I'm sure Dan will say something when they have investigated and have a fix for the (various) performances issues, but it might be a more complex/multi-faceted issue to track down and solve than can be done in a few hours.Teksonik wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 12:51 pm So no comment on the CPU issues some people are reporting? I have a support ticket in on the subject of idle CPU.
It would be nice to see this issue addressed.

Interestingly both opsix and wavestat behave normally on my maxed out M1 mini Mac with the latest macOS.beely wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 1:37 pmIt's only been a couple of days. No cpu overload or spikes of any kind. Go and figure, but with so many reports on Mac and Windows, there’s obviously problem somewhere…
PS; Tested under latest versions of Logic, Cubase Pro and Live Suite

I've seen fewer reports of the behaviour I reported on the M1, but loads for the M1Pro/Max. Anecdontally, they seems to be better behaved on the M1.

@wwjd is a great lover of Cherry Audio emulations. But maybe not of the stick those tend to get. There may be a connection.
But anyway, enough of that. The proof of this particular pudding was already made available right here in this very thread, wasn't it ?
Thank you, @mididim !mididim wrote: Thu Mar 24, 2022 9:14 pm Korg opsix Hardware vs Native comparison.

Some patches are not ported 1:1 ???
Most of them are.

Yes but when someone representing a company comments on one issue but ignores another then there's nothing left to do other than bring the issue up again.beely wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 1:37 pmIt's only been a couple of days. I don't expect a fix today but a response of "we're aware of the issue and are investigating" or "the reason it uses so much CPU in idle state is because______ " would be in order.
It would make me much more comfortable in purchasing Wavestate knowing that Korg is responsive to all issues especially those of performance and not just simple function.
Anyway I've got a support ticket in on the issue of idle CPU but as of the time of this post no response yet.

He's just poking fun at KVR and the inevitable response when any analog emulation is released of "it doesn't sound anything like the hardware" often made by people who have never owned, played, or even been in the same room as the hardware.

On GS he has acknowledged the performance issues on mac and someone brought to his attention issues with performance on windows including links to this very thread.
He is way more active in GS.

This is what I'm talking about. Some people have concerns over performance and the lack of a response here from the Korg rep does nothing to inspire others to make the purchase.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 1:20 pm OPSiX is Just as bad and gui is so laggy that it even brings down the Gui Performance in my Daw as if it is Constantly Refreshing or Loading the Gui in the Background.
It also takes a few seconds before the gui is initialized and the Waveforms starts to Animate while playing notes.
Think i will Ask for a Refund if this is not adressed Soon.

I'm not fan of Gearspace but Dan has posted in this thread. Even so I sent a link to this thread to Korg support but again as of this time no response.zvenx wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 3:16 pm On GS he has acknowledged the performance issues on mac and someone brought to his attention issues with performance on windows including links to this very thread.

Just an acknowledgment of the CPU reports is all I'm asking.

Not having an answer/response yet is not the same as "ignoring" the question.Teksonik wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 3:11 pm Yes but when someone representing a company comments on one issue but ignores another then there's nothing left to do other than bring the issue up again.

I already posted earlier he recreated my reports on his system and is looking into it. So we've already had an acknowledgement of this.Teksonik wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 3:26 pm Just an acknowledgment of the CPU reports is all I'm asking.
It sounds like you want progress on *your* timescale, rather letting the devs get on and hopefuly address the problem. Patience, padowan!

No I'm just asking Korg to address the issues reported by several people here.
If Dan can make this response:
One person who made a purchase is thinking of asking for a refund if the issues aren't addressed so it's in Korg's best interest to do so.
In other words if you're going participate here then participate fully. Again "we're aware" is not asking too much.
If Dan can make this response:
He can just as easily respond to the several reports of performance issues. If there is no acknowledgement of the issues here then one is left to assume it's being ignored.danatkorg wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 5:42 am The joystick responds to CCs 16 (X) and 17 (Y). At any rate I'd like to purchase Wavestate and probably will in April but slow or lacking support certainly does nothing to inspire me to do so.

Yep, I know what you're saying, all I'm saying is - it's easy to respond to the CC16/17 thing because he already knew the answer.
At the moment, he doesn't have an answer for the (various) performance issues reported across a range of systems, and they are, from what he *has* said, looking into it, and compiling data from a range of sources to find out what's going on. They don't *know* yet what's going on, in all of these cases.
When he has an answer for those, I'm sure he'll come back with something.
What's important for them is to investigate and fix the problem, rather the providing individual personal assurances to every post reporting something...
As I'm sure you know, Dan isn't here doing "support", that's the usual support method (which I think I remember you saying you had already put a ticket in), and you just have to let the process work through... I consider Dan's posts here and elsewhere a *bonus*.

The support hasn't been slow. I'm sure they have a lot to test and sort out. Devs lurking on a forum, looking into things, is exactly what you want. But, yeah. Grab it later on, when you're comfortable it'll work for you.Teksonik wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 3:48 pm At any rate I'd like to purchase Wavestate and probably will in April but slow or lacking support certainly does nothing to inspire me to do so.

OPSix is incredible - it's pretty much what I had hoped NI would do with FM8, a FM (and more) equivalent of Massive X
