I was hanging on the term "Base Price".
Wasn`t aware of a credit system, makes sense now it refers to that, thanks.

Hi,
I can get smart:comp by Sonible for $69 using $20 of my awards.
Does anyone know if I could get it cheaper elsewhere?
Thank you

I regret i didn´t used my Audioplugin rewards for that - on the other hand, I purchased the smar:comp via Pluginboutique, paid $ 20 more than you, but a nice drum machine as a present.

Aside from the subscription service, it seems there haven't been any PA "flash sale" vouchers at all this month, which is a major change from previous months. Dirk apparently wrote that continuing frequent flash sales might not be a sustainable business model. So does "the new Plugin Alliance" of constantly "lower" prices mean the exorbitant non-sale prices have been in some cases lowered slightly while flash sales have been mostly abolished?
Since the flash sales allowed people with $50 monthly vouchers to eventually get many (most?) products free or very cheaply, this would really devalue the loyalty vouchers....
Then again, there have been a lot of new product introductory sales, which are still comparatively expensive. And launching the subscription. So perhaps this month will prove unusual.
On the bright side, this would remove any lingering temptation on my part to spend more just to continue the vouchers. And I can use this month's voucher on upgrading from Byome to Triad (though I'll still wait until the 31st to see if there are any flash sales in the final days of the month as there have been in the past... still waiting for the Vertigo VSM-3 flash sale).

Fake argument. Some corps do that, others don't.Sindikhate wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 12:07 am Plugins becoming NFR if you sell them is really common in the industry.
Customers don't have to take such nonsense, it lowers the value of your investment if you do go the software way.
Unannounced changes to a business agreement are not done (or even illegal, depending where you live).

PA website: "FREE Licenses can’t be sold, for example the ones you get when you open a PA account, like bx_cleansweepV2, bx_rockrack Player, bx_solo, bx_subfilter, elysia niveau filter, bx_freeranger, etc."
Does this include plugins you pay $0 for because you use a voucher? Hopefully not....

Post of the week. It took me a couple seconds to get it. Well done!mgw38 wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 6:14 amGet in touch with their support, they are usually very helpful. I would point out that such a policy change would have needed advance notice.LastDarkstar wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 4:00 am This PA thing has killed me, I have had family and friends buy them for me for my birthday etc. Been buying second hand ones while saving for a new computer. Finally got the computer yesterday, went to activate 48 plugins... Fee Required for 48....
Edit: While I am still fascinated that people can obsess about this to the point where it almost turns into a medical condition, it is also stunning how PA manages to stumble from one completely unnecessary communication blunder to the next. If I had a company in the Alliance I would seriously consider joining the Empire.

Paying $0 for something is different to free. So yes they can be sold.Ou_Tis wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 7:05 pm PA website: "FREE Licenses can’t be sold, for example the ones you get when you open a PA account, like bx_cleansweepV2, bx_rockrack Player, bx_solo, bx_subfilter, elysia niveau filter, bx_freeranger, etc."

The price wasn’t $0, it was only $0 due to having paid $X via voucher.

Hi, missjan -- Welcome to KVR!
Just a friendly note to someone new to this board -- We went through a few cycles with referral codes and affiliate links heavily populating too many threads, and they're not allowed here. Melda is pretty awesome, though. You may want to delete your code and save a mod the trouble of doing so, as happened in your last post.

Do we have a “here’s my affiliate link that will give you a discount” Thread any where around here? Sometimes it’s nice to have a discount code. But I agree it shouldn’t be in the usual threads. There should be a format to make it easier to search too.
Well just a thought.
