Crazy deal.quietzone wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2019 10:00 am$299 was for both Soundtoys 5 + Arturia V collection together?Tappistry wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2019 10:48 pmThe sale they had last year on BF that was for about 12 hours or less on the Soundtoys 5 and Arturia V collection bundle was an incredible deal. You could hardly pay prices on the FS forum here for I think it was $299 for the whole thing? Crazy good deal.mgw38 wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2019 3:01 pmActually just the opposite. Quite often they are so awesome that you have to be really really quick.![]()

I think they realised they'd made a mistake and suspended the deal then put it back on at $399 which is still a massive bargain tbh.

Has anyone tried using a gift certificate from Audioplugin.deals (https://audioplugin.deals/impact-soundw ... rtificate/) for buying an ISW product on summer sale? (https://impactsoundworks.com/). Did it work? The info says "Gift certificates may not be used in combination with other promos". Well, it's the same info for Sample Logic certificates, but those could be used last time SL had a sale, so that's why I'm asking.

I bought a certificate for ISW and it worked for their sale. Proceed with confidence.pekadan wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2019 10:02 pm Has anyone tried using a gift certificate from Audioplugin.deals (https://audioplugin.deals/impact-soundw ... rtificate/) for buying an ISW product on summer sale? ... assuming they don't read that (or notice the gift certificate usage), decide it was a mistake, and "fix" it.jsp1979 wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2019 11:57 pmI bought a certificate for ISW and it worked for their sale. OTOH if this continues to work I might go from "wait until BF" to "seriously considering"....

I bought 4 Shreddage 2 -> Shreddage 3 updates and could use the $50 gift certificate for the whole order, so the info that the certificate can be used for the purchase of one item is not really correct either.
Btw, after my purchase, the new Shreddage 3 guitars were automatically registered in my account. I thought that meant that I now have a Shreddage 3 license which will take $30 off the purchase of Stratus (I had understood that the full price for Stratus includes a $30 license fee which doesn't have to be paid twice). But checking out with Stratus in the basket, while logged in, doesn't reduce the $129 price to $99, so appearently I've misunderstood how that license thing works.

You should have a coupon code under "My Deals" in your ISW account for other Shreddage instruments.
Before release, ISW dropped the convoluted licensing scheme due to the fact that NI requires all of the guitars to have their own serial.

Wonder if this applies to their Kontakt Player instruments: "Because of the digital nature of our instruments, we generally do not allow license transfers: we have no way of verifying that the software has been deleted by the seller after the transfer. However, we do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis."jsp1979 wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 11:11 am You should have a coupon code under "My Deals" in your ISW account for other Shreddage instruments.

NI License Manager regulates the licenses, and they can remove a serial from your account... I guess someone could just not go online or otherwise work around it, but that would probably be prohibitively difficult, since it would be hard to install new Kontakt Player products without accessing License Manager.

Anyone know if Rast Sounds Balkan Vocals includes samples of second interval harmonies?... messaged support but the sale ends in 8 hours.
"there is at least one musical tradition that has assimilated major and minor seconds so thoroughly that they are considered pleasing, apparently because of the very acoustic interference that is supposed to render them dissonant. Writing of the ganga songs of the mountain people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ethnomusicologist John Blacking says ‘Chords of major and minor seconds that would be considered discordant in terms of acoustical theories of musical structure, were regarded as harmonious ... This was enhanced by the way they were performed: singers stood very close to each other, and the vibrations from the loudly sung, close intervals induced pleasant bodily sensations.’"

"Sharp dissonant intervals and chords play a prominent role in many traditional musical cultures. Vocal polyphonic traditions from Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, [...]
The most prominent dissonance in most of these cultures is the interval of the neutral second
(which is between the minor and major seconds). This interval is known to create the maximum sharpness and is known in German ethnomusicology under the term 'Schwebungsdiaphonie'." (Wikipedia)

This is exactly what Orange Tree Samples does if you ask nicely (they've just done so for me).Ou_Tis wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 1:12 pmNI License Manager regulates the licenses, and they can remove a serial from your account...
I'm not sure it's always been this way, but I think it has.
I'm glad ISW has fixed it so that each library has its own serial now. Under Shreddage II the additional guitars were under the same main Sheddage II license.
