So if you already have Iris 2... could you get the license serial from Plugin Boutique, sell your old copy of Iris 2 at some point in the future, then activate the new license serial?

Why not sell the new serial?

Not sure if license tranfer is allowed for the PB promotion copy: "Software license transfers are not available for:

Time-Limited, Educational, NFR, or retail software bundled licenses."

Or if you mean sell the unactivated serial---they don't check that the names etc match?

Actually, no PluginBoutique gets it's own sets of serials that are activated and downloaded via their site, and subject to distinct terms and conditions.

This is not the case for all products sold via PIB. However, it's the reason why I am very careful buying from them. I now usually write to them before buying, just to check

Not sure what to tell you. I was able to register my IRIS 2 license directly with izotope, as I have with every other manufacturer’s plugin I’ve purchased from plugin boutique. It’s the same as when jrrshop generates codes for you to register. Plugin boutique may allow you to download it from them as well, but the license is indistinguishable from one purchased from another vendor.
