Any word on this one???pHz wrote:what a REALLY nice default colourscheme beno !!!

Please elaborate a bit on "Edit all folder contents at once using new Collection Clips"? What operations can you perform on a collection clip or ask a collection clip to perform? For instance does that include splitting and splicing all contained clips? Does it include changing levels on all contained clips or the folder track? applying plug-ins to a collection clip? Can you drag a collection clip back and forth in time and the contained clips with it? copy/paste? ... Just what is collection clips?Beno wrote:Folder Tracks and Collection Clips - New Folder Tracks allow hiding and showing of groups of tracks in edit with support for nested folders, Edit all folder contents at once using new Collection Clips, New VCA filters to adjust volume of all tracks in the folder

You can do anything to a collection clip that you can do to multiple selected clips at once. So, you can split, trim, copy/paste, delete, move, etc the collection clip and it will affect all the associated clips.

Sounds like play lists in protools maybe?
If it works like PT playlists, then its a very powerful feature!

Actually, I think that the pt playlist feature was more like the drop-down list you get when you have multiple takes...hwhalen wrote:Quoted from Beno

PT playlist does support a track based clip selection dropdown list. The power is in how you use it. For instance, mark a selection on a take in a playlist. Copy the marked (good) section in a track in playlist1 and replace the (bad) in the mirror take in playlist2. The cut and paste operation automatically aligns in time, no cursor positioning. A perfect overlay. A drummer I play with does this on his home PT system.

No, Beno is talking about when you have the collection clip selected, it applies the edits to all clips inside the folder that make up that collection clip. It's not a comping system, which is what I 'think' you're describing.
However, T2 already has multiple take loop recording, so you can do comps just the same in T2!

Ben
Does this mean that we can build controller templates for a midi keyboard tailored to individual soft instruments that can be recalled via the input tab for the midi controller on the left hand side of the edit page?

Basically. You can make presets and load them from the Midi Controller Mappings screen for the edit.

Thanks Ben
And what is meant by "Smart loading of presets for a particular plugin?"
Does it mean that once the templates are set up in the mapping area and you choose to select a plugin that has an associated template, then that template is automatically loaded?

Stuart
