Probably it's actually rather Sean's call, but personally I don't think this is neccessarily too far off Topic, since it also concearns possible usage of Plate in one of the most polular hosts...
I'll have to do some testing with a DAW that allows "mono" instances
I really don't see how this could be anything else than - as I said before - an automated and permanent version of what you can do in Reaper manually with exactly 4 mouse-clicks whenever you want to and which you can also undo with further 4 clicks whenever you want to - i.e. you can experiment at free will without ever having to re-load the plugin (and hence lose other settings you might have made).

I don't think it can be different than that as if the plugin is stereo, then it is stereo - there's no way the host could magically re-write the plugin into a mono-version.

ValhallaPlate supports the mono-in, mono-out format in DAWs that support this, like Pro Tools and Logic. This also allows for "multi-mono" instances, where each mono channel has an identical instance of the plugin running.

oh, so that's actually part of the VST 2.x specs? I had no idea tbh  - so what does it do? Does it (potentially) preserve CPU in any way? And is it any different from a dedicated mono .dll or perhaps a mono-switch on the plugin itself? What would be the Advantages and disadvantages of each of the three versions? (okay, if you have a dedicated mono .dll it can have a different GUI, but otherwise?)

I'm oficially confused now.

I must admit that I don't really understand what this means - is it any different from sending a different mono-track to each of the plugin's two channels?

I am happy to announce that ValhallaPlate has been updated to Version 1.5.0.

The latest changes in Version 1.5.0:
  • 5 new reverb modes!
    - Adamantium, Titanium, Osmium: Designed to emulate different variants of the EMT140. Mono-in, stereo-out modes, with the dense upper midrange and lower modal density found in many of these older plates. Adamantium and Titanium are both "lighter" plates, while Osmium has a booming low end that is befitting of the densest metal found in nature.
    - Radium. A chamber/plate hybrid that uses the equivalent of 2 parallel mono plates to preserve the stereo image of your input signal.
    - Lithium. A lush chamber/plate hybrid, with a unique approach to the stereo image that is inspired by the "stereo" chambers found in some recording studios. Helps to preserve the input panning of signals, while still having a realistic fill of the stereo image over time.
Various code updates and bug fixes.
The ValhallaPlate 1.5.0 update is available to demo / purchase today, and has been uploaded to the Valhalla DSP user accounts for everyone who has bought the plugin.

Still says : dot25

Whats the difference anyway from beta ?
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Thank you!
I'd like to have an easier overview of stereo setup in the plugin.
Some modes has stereo-info, other not.

Plate reverb is really nice.
