Hello thanks for the reply, I tried complete uninstall but still get crash when beta is reinstalled, uninstalled put original repro1 and it is running perfect in eXT. Sent support request, i know 32bit and ext are old but its all i can do for now & I love eXT for a live host. again any help appreciated.tasmaniandevil wrote:It might eventually help to first deinstall Repro completely (but don't forget to save your own presets), and then reinstall. A similar case was solved this way, because the user had version 1.0 of Repro-1 installed on a different location than where he installed the update. So he had two versions of the plugin installed and this confused the host and led to crashes. If this doesn't solve your problem, do as the boss already suggested and write us a mail to the support team.FrettedSynth wrote:BTW Win7 32bitFrettedSynth wrote:Wonderful sounding synth, one problem I am having is Repro1 ran great in eXT3, now with update of beta neither version 1 or 5 will load without crashing the host? Any help would be apreciated

first Urs, thanks so much! Have loved repro-1 and loving 5 so far, except:
when I offline bounce in live 10 beta, at 2secs there will be a buffer-style skip, regardless of MC/HQ and live buffer settings. I have a fast enough machine (4.3ghz imac quad i7 32gb ram), and there's no popping during live playback/recording.
if I put an empty bar before, it doesn't skip. I've bounced tons of stuff in the AL10beta though and skipping only happens with pro-5
thanks again!

EDIT - UPDATED: Now 3 skins: 2 for RePro-5 and 1 for RePro-1.
Here's a few skins that take the brownish hue of both GUI's and makes them 1) gray, or 2) almost black. This is basically the same thing I did with RePro-1 (previously called Warmer Gray). This will also act as an update for RePro-1 to show the new browser (currently if you were using the old skin, the old browser was showing up).
Anyway, here's the first RePro-1+5 set of skins:

Let me know if there's any trouble downloading.

It's more subtle on RePro-5 than it was on RePro-1, but you'll notice the brown is gone and some buttons and knobs are slightly darker. Changing the appearance of the wood is something that is beyond my skill level. If anyone else can do it though, feel free to post a combined skin.

tbh, I don't think that the patches for One of My turns and Everything is In the right place really nails these sounds...Greggers wrote:Patch gurus already tweaking some presets? Can anyone help me out with "One of my terns"? I like what Howard did, yet I can't get a nice short percussive chord stub at "day after day" and "night after night" lyrics. Playing with filter and amplifier release and making it shorter definitely helped, but not quite there yet.
So, KVR wizards, how do I really make that sticky hard sync stab? Donno if sticky is the right word, but can't think of a better

Some very basic comparisons.4damind wrote:Somebody compared the Arturia Prophet 5 with the Repro-5?
For monophonic sounds the Repro-1 was very close but this could be different with polyphonic sounds.
Run Like Hull patch. First my Arturia conversion, then Repro patch, without effects.
https://clyp.it/0l5nn15q
This is a patch called HS Simple Horn, i think. First is Repro, then Arturia
According the manual, envelopes from Repro-5 and Prophet-V3 are very different. From U-He Repro-5 manual: attack and decay goes from 2 milliseconds to more than 15 seconds, and release goes from 2 ms to about 55 seconds.
Arturia Prophet: attack goes from 1.50ms to 7400ms, decay from 0.50 ms to 11000 ms and Release from 0.50 ms to 11000 ms
And Filter Keyboard Tracking is different too.
There's no info about these "tune" of filter on Arturia on their manual, but the screen display "Tuned" only when KDB is on 100% (100), so, I think that it's really not possible to match values on both synths.Repro-5 manual wrote: KEYBOARD AMOUNT (FILTER): Set to 75.00, cutoff follows notes precisely so that it can be played “in tune” when the resonance is high.

It does MPE support (with VST2, not VST3) as well as the other U-he synths. So the pitchbend is there, and per voice pitchbends and whatnot, just no CC74 support (if you're on a Roli Rise), release velocity, or support for the master channel. If using a Rise, I bet you could reassign CC74 to CC1 using some kind of MIDI transformer and get back some of those benefits.Ah_Dziz wrote:Any chance of some MPE support?

OMG OMG OMG it sounds better then my pro-6. Some patches are simple making me cry.
Tested in Live 10 beta on my 3930/Win7 - consumption is around 30% for 8 voice, hq, mc.

I think you did very well, Walter! It's less brassy, more reserved, subtle, definitely closer to the studio recording. What do you think about this Greggers?
I found LFO rate a bit fast. Comparing to studio record, I noticed there's higher Osc A freq at slower LFO going on on the record.
Just as an idea of what I mean. Oh, and forgive demo noises, they were inevitably recorded along the whole thing.

I'll attach the modified patch.
You think you can have a go at "Run like hull" patch, mod it?

Which filters were modeled? The SSM or CEM?
I am guessing the CEMs since they were used in the P1 and P8 as well as the later P5s.

Running the linux version in linux Reaper, alongside the windows version
in windows-reaper (using wine) with Repro 5 and Hive in one,
and Repro 5 and Repro 1 in the other, it's quite playable,
using i7 2600 @ 3.4mhz and MC and HC both off. Placing R5 among
the favored sounds of the other great synths will be great fun.
