What did they say about that?

No plans for change

I bought another iLok. I have a small external SSD, and 4 port hub attached to the laptop case with Velcro.

I thought it was clever, but the missus pointed out I can’t use it public because now it looks like an explosive device.

Sooo… I’ll likely ask them again to consider it, even if it changes nothing.

Which one of their synths was offered for free? I didn't get anything free from them.

Polymax was offered for free from Plugin Boutique if I remember correctly.

That correct. I’d paid $25 or so for it, myself. No regets as it’s definitely worth what I paid.

I'm sure you know this, but you can use iLok Cloud to be dongle-free. I've found that reliable in practice, but of course there is the major caveat that you need a reliable internet to use it.

As far as analog modeling plugins go, I'm not a fan of the parodied naming and design in most cases.

My secondary usage for the laptop is traveling… where that internet connection is not reliable.

I already bought the 2nd iLok, but if they ever allow machine hosting, I’ll happily deposit the license to the laptop.

I’m not anticipating a change anytime soon, but one can hope! :hihi:

And then you’d get the Creative Edition for $99.

UAD Manley Tube Preamp? But for low/lowmid warmth I'd say Pultec EQ.
The Manley preamp comes in the Manley vox box. And the Vox Box is a really great plug in for preamp and tone. Really not limited to just vocals.

So... skip the preamp and get the vox box.

Correct you are.

I'd even take Satin over the A800 myself because it doesn't do the harsh top-end thing I hear in the A800 and Satin has nice sounding noise [that statement sounds a little crazy - good sounding noise!]. The ATR-102 is better than the UAD A800 machine IMO but still a little aggressive. For me, IK Tapes is currently best on the market. I also occasionally use Taupe from Acustica though that's usually just for tone. I have some others that are decent. One day I'll get my TEAC A-3440 running.
How hard are you pushing the ATR102 for it to be aggressive? If it follows or precedes a nice compressor you shouldn't need to slam it. Would love to hear how you're using it.

Also with the studer 800... for me this is really pretty subtle. But the way I've used it has been to put it across all, or most tracks, and the result isn't so much a tone box on anyone thing but more of an improved sound on the sum of all tracks.

I don't find the per track studer to be worth doing on electronic music I make, but I've found it great on recording real instruments and musicians. Adds a bit of that 'like a record' sound, which is great for some things.

jamcat wrote: Tue Sep 26, 2023 6:53 am Can anyone confirm that the UADTUESDAY coupon code can be used multiple times?
EDIT: Sorry, I see this has been answered multiple times already. :ud:

Short answer: Yes, it appears that way.

I had already bought something using the code and for the heck of it just went to the site again, added another eligible product to cart and applied the code. Even though it didn't show up in the normal promo code box like it did on the prior purchase it was accepted and reduced the total purchase price.

I might be picking something else up this weekend... :help:

it doesn't allow me to use it more than once, it says Coupon code "UADTUESDAY" is not valid.

so in my case audiodeluxe made money because I bought my UAD plugin there for $37.xx.

As mentioned earlier, the UADTUESDAY coupon can be used only twice. It may take few hours (up to a day) for UADTUESDAY to appear in your account for the second time even if thank you coupon has already arrived.
