Peter-
Is there any improvement in the load times for the larger instruments? I would love to have the POP Piano and the Alt. acoustic drumkit as my go-to's, but even on a fast system like mine, I'm often finding 3-4 minutes to load these.

Cheers

It takes about 45 sec. to load the mentioned Piano using a SSD with my middle-class laptop system.
If you don't have one consider to switch to a SSD system for a significantly noticeable overall performance push.

changing hardware because of sloppy coding is not really a smart way to go about things.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I'd report this to support if you have not already, even with a non-SSD drive that is much longer than anybody here is experiencing. 3.5 brought improvements to the instrument load times, and 3.5.1 fixes the other lag issues that were reported. If running 3.5 you should not be seeing load times anywhere near that, from what I can see.

See my reply above. This is not "sloppy coding" as BERFAB is experiencing something far outside the normal experience.

Changes from version 3.5:

▪ Reduced the time lag when switching between PLAY, MIX and EDIT pages
▪ Reduced the time lag when the application initializes
▪ Reduced the time lag when loading Songs using Program Changes in the LIVE page
▪ Added support for forthcoming Custom Shop Instrument libraries
▪ General reliability improvements

Hope this fixes the lag issues some of us were having off to download and test
Thanks for info... Going to get now... Peace.
And that was a fix for me... Great..

At least Berfab's loads. ;)

Loading samples is the point where the whole app crashes for me. (which is an improvement from when the app crashed on start-up). Being that there are some of IKM 64 bit software that loads fine and others do not, I wouldn't call it "sloppy coding" as much as just "inconsistent coding".

... "outside normal"

I'd say you're definitely quite "outside normal" :) experience, BBFG#, as your issue is quite unique and in fact could be literally unique to you/your setup. As you know, support is aware and I sincerely hope they get the issue sorted out for you.

"Outside Normal", "Unique", "Anomaly".
These terms are about distancing from, more than addressing.
But that really wasn't the main point.

What was the main point for me in my last comment was since there is some of your 64 bit software that works while others do not in my system, it reasonably implies the issue is not with my system but an inconsistency with your coding.

After the first couple of versions, the app finally starts.
Which means the code is improving?
But the samples will still not load without crashing the app.
At least it's moving in the (write) direction. (Pun intended).

Looking forward to... 4.1?

A sample size of one doesn't reasonably imply anything, especially as far as software is concerned.

HW: Steinberg UR28M | Focal Alpha 50 | Fender Jazz Bass | Alesis VI25

Sample size?

All I stated was you have an issue that nobody else has reported and of which our support team is aware. Imply what you will about the code and continue with the semantics arguments and conjecture about it (which unfortunately really won't help get it running on your system, if you want brutal honesty), just realize that I won't be participating. We have people assigned your issue that can do so, I suggest you continue any dialogue you have with those folks at IK if you'd like to move forward. I sincerely hope you get it running, best to you in that regard.

Outside of whatever interesting dance the above may have been (it always seems kind of surreal), we do have some more SampleTank 3 news coming. We posted a little bit on our social channels about it a few minutes ago.

Strange, we're getting many reports that things are now VERY fast for them. Please let support know and see if they have any more insight or at least some more information [edit - meaning your system info, etc etc] to report over to the devs.

Works great for me. No more lag. Seems to load sounds faster too. Grand Piano 1 loads in 12 seconds. Thanks IK :tu:

No issues even before the update from 3.1(?) Pop pianos not really measurable, Alt Acoustic drums in about 3 seconds and this is on a 4 year old iMac.
