Nice. Same here. Without, things just sound too sterile and thin to me. I wish more developers made UB versions available, but they're less and less each day...macmuse wrote:For Mac, is this truly Intel only or is it universal binary? thanks.

I'm sure there are still people running Windows 98 in the world, but for a software developer to support it today is counter productive. There was no rule that said any software developer had to support it even one day after it was announced discontinued, but most developers supported it years later. Sell your current Mac and put the extra money towards a new one.

Interesting, thanks. But it would be more interesting if things were level matched. The main thing we hear now is the difference in volume.APHELEON s.a. wrote:Here is a quick test I made slamming some breakbeats.
But don't get me wrong, I appreciate your effort.

So I finally got around to voting here, because I am indeed satisfied with Satson after buying it!
So far, the real star to me are the filters; my God they're smooth. I've noticed a real difference in my mixes since I've been using Satson Channel for highpassing, I highly recommend it for that alone. I'm going to be using it as my default HPF from now on, console emulation or not!
As for the "console" effect, hard to say at this point. Since I've been mostly mixing at work lately, which involves quick songwriting/arranging/mixing, I've been mostly quickly slapping Satson on channels and busses; switch to "FAT"; highpass; done. I need to experiment some more, but it's definitely a great, clean mixing tool.
I'd like to see an option for global ganging at some point too.

On the filters... I wouldn't say that I have a perfect ear... but I like them enough that I have replaced my traditional low/high cut needs with satson channel.
My standard template has the cubase low-cut filter on every buss. Just last night while I was working on a new song, I disabled that filter on the drums and bass tracks and inserted an instance of satson channel before the buss, turned the switch to "OFF" (which disables the console emulation, since this was a buss and has the buss emu on already) and used the low-cut filter to taste.

Yeah, I wouldn't say I have a perfect ear either, but there's something about these. They're also convenient and well-designed, and I like just using the dial instead of graphically doing it; again, I guess more of the "console" feel.aircargo wrote:On the filters...
