FYI: a clap is basically: noise with 3 very fast volume hits. You can make a clap easily with Noisemaker by using the envelope to control volume, just make a few spikes, like this, from the default and then adjust a HPF to taste: .

Oh man, don't drag me into your humility!
Super sweet snippet! :tu:

By the way, I just realized that Jasinski has posted this massive collection of presets! Pffff, that's so nice! Thanks!
I listened through a few of them now, which is a bit of a pain, because somehow this thing doesn't seem to remember folders...what a drag, ho ho. Anyhow, one can really hear your style, Jas, but also that only you can really make those sounds work beautifully. I completely admire that! :hail:
I'm like a lost puppy with them, though, haha. :scared:
...still awesome that you put together such a nice set and even neatly named. I've got A MESS! I even made a sound I called "asshole" (excuse me) about 2 minutes ago, hahahaha...but it's a pretty wicked one, actually. Have no use for it, though...

I'm a little annoyed that you can't map the individual levels for the OSCs. Really a mean restriction. I take it, TAL is selling a synth, too? Haven't checked... otherwise I just can't understand that limitation.

Great sounds from you guys! After some percussions presets I made for
Tal-Noisemaker, I decided to go with a reggae this month here is my preview, almost finished, (or not ?)

I cheat .. I let the sequencer do the hard work.

Make a simple patch : Just some band passed noise, very short decay, short notes.
I load a clap sample to determine the timing of the individual claps.
I line up the notes with the claps, add some reverb.

friend Taron would tell you more, my simple view is that since it's a simple melody I would harmonize it with a second voice when you repeat the theme.

this is slowly evolving in a community project :-)
as a linux enthusiast I like that :tu:

I think it sounds a lot better than the first version. Well done! :tu:
Failure is success in progress.

Ah, yeah, Rob, that helps! What Luigi says is quite a good idea. Harmonizing would provide some more melodic options, possibly giving it a little more finesse, especially for the last two segments of the "chorus" (I guess?). Possibly a nice counter, too.

But, yeah...I think, it gets quite a lot more integrity that way. You can still keep lifting it up when it calls for it. Not sure, if you catch that, too, but I sense almost a kind of tango underneath or rumba of sorts. With a bit of cheekiness you could take advantage of that. Sometimes it's great not to get too serious to give it the edge that makes it seriously interesting! 8-)

Rock on! :tu:

I really like the 'wah-guitar' sounds.

The progression and tone is a bit harder for me to get in to. I usually think of Reggae as a bit more laid back. This track has a bit more edge to it. Not that it can't work.

Thanks for feeback, yes it's not typical reggae, I guess I can't do anything typical,
as I always feel I need to add some originality
(as my taste goes of course), but there's also some more weird and hard reggae around. So it looks like that I should make it more easy or it would not hit the spot.

[edited: Sly & Robbie are not the best example for what I mean]

Old shark teach young one how to catch and eat people :
- First show you fin ,make a circle, then sink down ,then again ...
Young one very impatient :
-Why to do that ,why not to eat them directly?
-Are you gonna eat them with the sh.t?
