They mean subscribe to the paid subscription service to watch all the tutorials :dog: :hihi:
Ah of course
But yeah, fk that
Their tutorials aren't half bad, really. There are some clunkers, but there's a lot to be learned. What they do cover better than most are full track creations, from start to finish. Even if you're not into a certain genre, watching craftsmen at work can be really informational.

What makes you think they're about to release a new version? I was eyeing purchasing 4.5 on this BF sale. Not familiar with their release schedule, but don't they still have 4.6, 4.7, etc., left to go?
Honestly, I'm not sure. I've read so much audio/sale/BF stuff these past few days I can't recall what is making me think that. Take what I said with a grain of salt, I guess. :scared:

Did the prices of Sonnox plugins go up? I'm specifically looking at you, Everyplugin and JRRShop. About a week ago, Inflator was $65.94 at EP. Now it's $68.36. The Enhance bundle was cheapest at JRR at $182.78 after code FORUM. Now it's $192.24! What's up with that? The sale should last until December 4th.

EDIT: And the "more-than-one" discount codes don't work at Everyplugin.

I don't see a mention of the software being available via Pocketmags - if anything, they suggest it is not available:
" Note: Digital editions do not include the covermount items "

Can someone confirm you get access to the monthly software from C.M. Magazine?
Yes you still get access to the CM software and samples via the filesilo website.

Ok fair enough. However it would take me a lot to subscribe to such a service with something like YouTube out there.

There's a 4.6 release party next week, so unless they're skipping any additional point-releases, I would not expect v5.0 before next summer

It wouldn't surprise me that the 4.6 is a preview of 5.0 which we may see soon (holidays perhaps?) so I don't think Laura is far out. Also, thinking about how cheap S1 is at the moment (a friend just bought a copy of Pro for around $150 from a retailer), maybe an upgrade is coming. To be honest, I just only decided to go for 4.5 only a few weeks ago, so I am not looking forward to it. I always wait quite a bit of time until all bugs are fixed (hell, I was still on Studio One 2 a year ago, and went straight to 4).

Musician's Friend has a Stupid Deal of the Hour with Presonus Studio One Producer 2.0 included. Listed at $199, but it goes down to $59.99 when carted. Then you could buy the upgrade to Studio One 4.5 at the current 50% off sale for $74.98. Comes out to $134.97, vs the current sale of $199. Plus the MF deal comes with several other plugins as well. This appears to be a boxed version that is mailed to you, so you'd have to go ahead and buy the $74.98 upgrade before the deal is over, then have to wait till the boxed serial arrives to activate.

The Upgrade is cheaper at JRR plus if you sold the 2 copies of Melodyne that you'd get the rest would be close to free. :tu:

I am starting to go off buying anything this year - I have been going through the other similar percussion sample instruments I have and thinking I should just continue exploring what I have. I have two installation shows next year which use sounds made playing or manipulating the spaces themselves and they will cost a little to put on (8channel systems) and am starting to get concerned about spending even more. If I had no gong instruments I would get Trinity, and I still might, but wonder if I am falling into the trap of moving on to something new/shiny rather than exploring more fully what I have. On the other hand - Trinity really is very very good for what it covers (particularly the percussiveIII component)
Did you buy it in the end?
This I found interesting but seems too limited even at the sale price of £89:

I have quite a large collection of one-shot samples, very many of them are drum sounds, but not all. Quite a lot of foley stuff in my collection as well, for example. I think I'd have very good use for one of them smart sample browsers and so I'd like to pick one up during Black Friday, but I'm not sure which one: Atlas, Sononym or XO. I don't really have time now to play with the demos and explore, so I thought I'd watch videos and ask instead. If you've compared them, which one would you pick over the others, and why? Or would you say they complement each other more than anything?

would also love some opinions on this subject
Little research I did shows Sononym to be the better choice.

yep I just bought it - still haven't got the dlownload links. I went through all my gong style instruments and there is nothing that will give me the Trinity scope. I might end up sellling some sample libraries as a result - wil have to see how it goes. So that is it for BF instruments for me this year, and there really is very little I dont have now, either FX or soundwise. There will be some trimming and selling off as I really want to limit what I have and explore that with little overlap. Sadly a lot of manufacturers are a bit unfriendly with resales, but I have them all marked in my file system now so I dont buy anything from them again

(I checked out the superball one - it's good but I can do a lot of that with other libraires or stacking sounds - One of the issues with gestural libraries is that you end up with that set of gestures - which is great, but still limited in a way that can be frustrating)
