2. Will Steinberg Absolute 4 be available outside of Steinberg shop? Uncle E?

Maybe in Europe? The US distributor doesn't have it on their dealer order page.

In Germany Thomann has Absolute 4 discounted 50%:

I am on the fence about buying Absolute. I bought Halion during last year's sale. It is so comprehensive that it seems to covers most of what the other Steinberg plugins do, with the exception of Groove Agent.

Bought A3 1x months ago and upgraded to Cubase 10.5. Don't have enough justification for me to upgrade to A4 (except it has GA 5 which I don't use much).

If you don't use GA very much, what do you recommend as a plugin for drums/beats in Cubase? I have Cubase 10 and I tried using MPC 2.6. I bought an MPC license on ebay for 12€. Cubase blacklists it and has stability problems when I reactivate it. I havn't bonded with the GA SE that comes with Cubase, but I was thinking of getting GA5 because everything would work as it should.

Hi BB, I use VPS Phalanx most of the time when making beats since 2016 and just bought XO which I would recommend as well.

The cheapest way is to find a cheap Studio One Producer license and then do the upgrade. However, you should buy the upgrade now, even if you don't have a Producer license yet, because the price is going up on Monday. We sell the upgrade for $62.99 when you use the Group coupon:

Hi Uncle E, this is probably a dumb question, but is producer edition the same as artist edition of studio on? If not, it looks like it that version has been discontinued and I've had trouble finding a copy online. Thanks.

It's not. It's older and similar to Studio One Pro. A few options on where to get it would be the second hand market, an old unsold boxed copy (online or in a gear store), or from a pack like XCHANGE Recording Collection or XCHANGE Producer Collection when they're on sale (~$50 USD) -- this is a boxed product which needs to be shipped (and also available at JRR Shop #1 and here JRR Shop #2-- Maybe Uncle E would be willing to let either one go cheaper?).

I recently got MPC 2.6 and have Cubase 10. I think it was also blacklisted but then it has a habit of doing that with "big" plugins. I think it was ok after re-activating. 12 euro seems awful cheap...

I've started using drum stuff again after a hiatus of over 30 years...do ypu need just a player or did you need a sequesncer with it?

If the former there is Battery 4. If the latter I use XO mainly but it does have limitations like number of steps. There is microtonic by Sonic Charge, I think Nerve by Xfer records and others...

I'm not sure, but last time I checked, the LM2 was also for $19 without any discount. So they maybe changed the prices that it looks discounted now? Anyone compared the prices?
