what happens if I order the upgrade from Amplitube 1 (199€) as a registered user on ik website?
Do I get a different version or it's the same one that i could get paying 329 €? Do they differ in box etc etc

I believe the upgrade for "free" deal was only good through the end of the '05 year. As far as packaging goes, i don't think that has come up in discussion here. Again, I'm not sure about this, but I don't think you can upgrade for free at this time?

Tried amplitube 2 today at sounds expo. They were demoing a beta so it could be tried with the stomp I/O. From what I could hear amongst the cacophony of one of these shows it sounds good. I only really messed with the ac-30, marshall and bassman but they all seemed to have the right ingredients, but as I say I could not give a proper evaluation of the sound.

The stomp I/O is really impressive - in a different league to rig kontrol, shame it's not going to be released for another 6 months.

Different league with regard to integration with the software - there's an lcd screen giving feedback for all the controls and everything can be done using the footpedals (or the keys), selection of amp models, stomp boxes and all the controls within etc. They had 2 expression pedals set up with it as well.

I also think it looks better 'in the flesh' than the slightly gaudy pictures purvey.

They mentioned a price of £500 including amplitube 2 although obviously this is not fixed. Personally I don't think that price is too bad. They also stated there will be good deals for those that already have amp2.
