Hanz Meyzer wrote:IMO the shaper module lacks of a pre-gain / post-anti-gain parameter. This is quite a pity, since it clearly limits the possibilities. Please add:

- Possibility to add two gain modules, one directly before the shaper and one directly after the shaper

- Add a right-click parameter to the "drive" parameter of the shaper, named "pre-gain / post-antigain", "temp gain" or similar.

- Make gain module targetable from matrix

Thanks for consideration.
+1. Sorely missing gain controls.

@Hans
this is the last time I answer questions, which could be answered by reading the manual ;)

You have of course a "in" gain, thats the volume of the OSC, or AMP. Furthermore you can add a "GAIN" effect in the "+" routing menu, which can be moved before of after the shaper!

regarding the SYNC
the inner Ring controls the SYNC ENV AMOUNT. If its set to zero, the internal SYNC envelope is unused. You can then use anything like the mod env for example

Hi, yes. But I cannot modulate the gain then... Because it is not targetable from mod matrix. So currently using OSC gain + AMP anti-gain. But would be much more comfortable within the shaper. Or if those gain modules within the shaper could be also switched to full band. Or would support even less resonance. For a better understanding the drive knob in the shaper should be named "WET AMOUNT" instead.

Yes, yes, but strangely here, it seems to be disabled, if i put it to something like -22% and not 0. I can see, it still affects the curve, if set to 0... That's why I was confused about this.
Maybe it's a bug. I can send you the preset, if you like. But maybe enjoy holidays first :)

EDIT: No, it's never disabled, only on -22% it sounds less obvious. The attack sync env is added all the time.

its disabled in the middle positive values add positive amount and negative values add negative values

Please add possibility to modulate gain in routing section with mod matrix

Is there any problems with mac guys? I have random cpu spikes with El Capitan with Logic and Studio One. No matter if plugin window is on/off.

Yes, many issues with this plugin on mac (just read the pages :D ). I thought the cpu spikes were there right from the release and they occur on windows too. As the power user often wrote in here Avenger needs much more optimizations.

edit: I first thought 1.0.31 would be more stable than the previous ones, but then out of the sudden it starts having dropouts when playing back and crashed fl studio

Ok. Thanks for information. Didn't read all 200+ pages, sorry for that:) I have Avenger also installed on Windows 10 and no problems. Only with mac those cpu spikes occures randomly. I'd like to know if there is any mac users with no problems...

No spiking issues here, see sig.

I suppose all mac users using Cubase are on the safe side.

matteogk wrote:Thanks msvs, I simply though it could be a value - among other - written in the patch, which could improve the sound design features for other genres designers like me (e.g. I add some AM or FM to MW and it would be nice to find it pre-programmed like in many other vst...). Of course, this is not a request, just an opinion, or a matter of taste.

Thank You!! Cheers!!!
On any keyboard-equiped desk - with a classic pitch- and mod wheel, the mod wheel stays at zero so when browsing presets the keyboard will reset it to zero in the soft synth, assuming that a preset was made with mod wheel position above zero.

As many producers have such keyboards, I don't see it as a good idea to implement such a thing. Indeed using the macro knobs make total sense.
In Serum, or in Kontakt, the mod wheel value is written in the patch, and the sound starts from there, but... "as soon as you touch the MW" it resets... In Avenger I simply find this feature (not a non-sense) a very helpful one, to shape a patch and recall it exactly like it "was" written. Or... it could help a lot to add some more macro knobs.

different opinions here. I dont like the modwheel being jump-resettet when you touch it. Like I said, for static and fixed modulations, the Macros are made for (or even better: the Macro BUTTONS). This is a feature request, which will not be considered, I can tell you this already, sorry.

we will consider this, if its easy to implement, we will do. Hurts nobody... if someone really needs to do this, why not
Any chances that SFZ would be possible to import in the future?
we will check this possibility, too
