You lose the ~$250 cap on WUP if you have licences that span more than one machine - which can make it significantly more expensive if you have a lot of Waves stuff).Ryan99 wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:18 am
Waves sell stuff on sale that is usually cheaper. You would probably be able to buy 2 licenses for less than the price of many synths from many other companies.
OTOH, Waves pricing has got to the point where it might even be cheaper to rebuy things on sale instead of WUPing existing plugins.

What are all the JRRShop Coupon Codes?
I'm looking at D16 LuSH-101 Roland SH-101 Synthesizer Plugin. A little more discount might tempt me.

It's a great softsynth and very powerful - multi timbral, polyphonic, stacks of effects - and probably pretty confusing to anyone expecting a straight SH-101 clone.

You can use a usb stick for waves licensing. I've got mine on a a/b usb hub switch along with a e-licensor for Steinberg stuff - thinking of getting an iLok too just in case I make any hardware changes and forget to deactivate. Three ports just for licensing is a pain - and maybe four if I get an ignition key. I wish I could use one dongle/stick for all plugins that insist on some sort of dongle...kitekrazy wrote: Tue Dec 31, 2019 7:10 pm Waves licensing sucks. I think that every developer should include at least 2 licenses with every plugin. Thats one thing that pluginalliance does well. I have a desktop I use most of the time and a laptop which has 2 usb ports, so I dont want to use one for Cubase and one for Waves. I just want to be able to use my Waves plugins on the go when I need them. Sometimes it feels like Waves thinks that we're all still in the year 2000 and that their marketing, pricing and licensing is keeping up with the competition....rewthless wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 2:23 pmYou can use a usb stick for waves licensing. This doesn't seem to be a problem for the vast majority of the Kvrists:Vleker wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:56 pmI think that every developer should include at least 2 licenses with every plugin.
