It would be sweet if someone was bored enough to write a skinning program for rapid... Hint hint.

It's not for resale and the cheapest price point is usually around Black Friday. If you were going to buy 3 sale synths before November that offer way less in terms of sound, functionality and workflow, then 99 euro is a bargain. It's in constant development too, plenty has been added since it was introduced a few years ago so I'd say it's a good investment in the long term but demo and see if it suits you (although obviously wait until the granular update so you can audition that too)ab_sourd wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 5:30 am I'm quite tempted by it but the full price is waaaay too much for me right now. Is 99 euro the cheapest price it's ever been? Also it can't be bought second hand, right?

So the granular update should come in this month? Maybe there will be a new demo also then featuring the granular?

Very likely. Also I guess they will do some kind of sale when it's out. So can't be too long until this lands.Tannaliini wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 11:21 am So the granular update should come in this month? Maybe there will be a new demo also then featuring the granular?

Also there is no refund. Some companies do offer refund if you are not satisfied (buyers remorse). So you have to think very well before buying.shonky wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 7:20 amIt's not for resale and the cheapest price point is usually around Black Friday. I appreciate that there is a demo, but how representative of the final set of patches are the demo patches?
Yes, gasp, I am a preset player.
Not too loving the preset demos, but I have heard stuff on youtube that makes it sound great and I actually have two soundbanks for it that I recently got in an unrelated group buy, but alas one can't play those properly in the demo version.

I am not sure which patches are available in the demo. Is there a list anywhere and I can compare against the full version and give you my opinion. Depends also on what you are looking for in presets.

should i create a special sound pack for rapid, with the focus on complex resynthesized and granular patches?

Thanks for the offer
I guess that is the hard part. since you have no idea what my tastes are
I do like your bank for instance based on the walk thru as mentioned in your thread (and I also really like your Thorn Patches, but I digress).
I do know it is about 1/4 of the final presets....157 vs I believe 650?
I doubt I could legally zip up the Demo patches in their folder for you to download..

He was actually lamenting a few pages ago he had a hard time finding good sound designers who could deliver soon, for the platform (my words not his)arovane1 wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 1:31 pm okay. i will contact the parawave audio crew. let‘s see what they think about.
