William, bug report.
Play first preset. EP-CP70 Velocity. Hold the chord. Wait for the sound to go away. Watch the CPU meter. Goes from 20% to 60%... wait... 70%... wait.... 80%... wait.... 90%.... then stops there. If you don't have on effects, the problem isn't nearly as bad. Rotary Speaker is the worst, taking it up to 90% right away after the sound goes away. All effects play into this though.
I'm guessing you're still making calculations after the sound has faded below whatever level you'd normally hear it at, but the signal is still there, probably making double float precision calculations, eating CPU. This ONLY happens it seems on sounds that fade to 'nothing' or at least a preceived nothing. Probably just need to stop the sound once it reaches a threshold, like anything below -75db or some such.
Also, there is a noticable change in the tonal characteristics of the presets when you play Multi Out compared to normal Eve. Would that be due to probably higher output from each channel being at nominal on the mixer board in the host app and it's not at nominal within the app itself?

Mine didn't go so high...She definitely bounced around, but didn't go any higher than 25%...My P4 is older, a 1.5...checked in both FL Studio and CubaseSX 1...DevonB wrote:Play first preset. Is the darn P4 denormals. That's a pain. Since when you add denormal code, you also remove a bit of the sound. Some say is not audible, but in some cases it is. Anyway, I will fix that.

Ford, Devon and Max, again, thanxs for all the help so far. We will sure remember you guys and all the users that are helping us for this new VSTi.
Ok, Devon, Luigi worked hard today and tuned CP70 again, he does that better than me, way better. But is not perfect, since looks like the sampled CP70 was a bit off-tune on some cords, ence the Chorus effect wich can't be fixed. Please, download the latest CP70 file I uploaded. I also fixed the MS20 Square samples. And tomorrow I will check more samples until all is good.
Best Regards, WilliamK and Luigi Felici (aka Liqih)

Some problems in Orion Platinum V4.82 (WIN98 non SSE)
Closing OP cause a crash when using EVE. OP close then i get an error msg:
ORIONPLATINUM caused an invalid page fault in
module EVE.DLL at 0177:04e65a96.
Registers:
I dont know if those numbers are any use to you.
Also, deleting an instance of EVE causes the same crash.
If i load 1 instance of EVE, it plays fine, until i load more instances, then i get no sound at all, even if i can delete the other instances. Not sure if this is a restriction of the beta, havent seen it mentioned anywhere.
Im using all the newest files from the beta site.
Sounds great tho, some really powerfull thick sounds you got there.

Yes, it's MUCH closer now, but I think you're right, it's just NOT quite going to get there with the chorusing and other problems. F1 and down is still ever so slightly out. Obviously you hear it too with what you're saying about it. It's less noticable at least now compared to what it WAS at!WilliamK wrote:Ok, Devon, Luigi worked hard today and tuned CP70 again, he does that better than me, way better. I think we beat that horse to death there. If it can be fixed, then cool, but considering HOW close it is now, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe you can get Back In Time to give you a better version of it at a future time?

NEW BETA V22 UPDATE
Kriminal, thanxs for the help, we found the problem you are having. When we did the non-SSE code we did a small memory mistake,
is fixed on V22 now. You just need to download the UPDATE file.
Devon, we added a denormal check on the modulator and echo inputs, could you check if that solved the CPU usage spike problem on audio fade-out?
Also, on V22 updated the EQ BandPass (MID) filter, now it has a better sound.
Plus, more presets.
Just one detail, move the file "8-Bit Vocals.DASHsnd" on "EVE DATA/Waveform" to "EVE DATA/Ensembles" please.
Best Regards, WilliamK

Hmm odd error.
Error loading DASHsnd file! Code 1 - file C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\DashSignature.com\EVE\EVE Data\Ensembles\8-Bit Vocals.DASHsnd
Beats me why it did this .. but I copied that file into the Ensembles dir and its fixed now.
Just thought you would like to know.
