Hey, Helicopters and Learjets are VERY expensive to run, we can't afford cigars ;)

Please tell me there's a magic way to stop Drumaxx from slowing down the mouse when turning a knob? I have to lift and move my mouse all the time when changing values... I get that for finetuning it's good, but that's what shift is for!

I Gross Beat demo have configured for a certain wave sampled beat (with drawing a curve modulation in plugin) and save the project (Studio One). But when i open the project, in GB curve is zeroed (empty). I understand that this is the result of limitations of the demo? Sorry, no sober (happy new year).

Yeah normaly Imageline stuff doesnt save in demo mode.

I own Alchemy and Harmor.
Is there any reason I can justify Morphine purchase beside the low cost? :help:

I advise you to download the demo for few days and see for yourself. I bought it without enough time with the demo. Anyway, I have mixed feelings about it.

I don't like the presets. No preset made me say "WOW!" and the sound is not 'lush' as in Harmor.
I almost find the resynthesis function useless in this synth.

I do like the ability to program my own presets. I can spend enjoyable time in the spectrum/morph/noise and have nice results using Rapture wave forms. IMO the ability to program this synth is far superior than in Harmor.

I don't have Alchemy, so i can't compare with it.

What a crazy sale.

For what it's worth, I found this 10% off discount link online that works for new IL customers on $89+ orders

https://support.image-line.com/jshop/sh ... BFHEHAH486

So we can get 2 plugins like Harmor and Grossbeat for $81 instead of $90. Not bad considering Harmor is usually $149 alone. Maximus also seems like a sweet deal at $45 instead of $189.

Personally, I'm debating on Morphine!

I did downloaded it and this is why I was asking....
I was not touched by it and I was doubting due to my little experience with additive synthesis.
Harmor is just magnificent and Morphine was not capable to shine when I was testing them.
Presets issue? I don't think so. But again it could be me but I'll pass.
Thank you for you input.

I finally broke down and bought Harmor.
This space has been unintentionally left blank.

You are not alone. There may just be the two of us, but you are not by yourself.

I thought Morphine sounded terrible. Not impressed by the presets. Looks really complex to use. Which just goes to show how subjective testing vsts is. I only gave it an hour or so, and that might explain it, but I actually thought it sounded horrible.

But what do I know?

Though Harmor is like the only synth you will ever need and it's light on the cpu too. Ok the GUI disappears after saving in XT2 (just happened again now - it's almost every time you save a track). But I forgive it. Don't know about anyone else, but it's a disruptive technology for me, synth wise. Plus it's a great toy. You have to admit, it's a lot more fun than a Rubik cube.

I now have to decide between Edison and SliceX tools wise, or Drumaxx and Poizone synth wise. I said to myself no more synths, tools yes, synths no. So...
But then again, technically Drumaxx is not a synth...

I told you what those image-line boys were like. Bunch of spivs.
:x
I mean it in the light hearted sense of course.

Seriously though, I have always had a soft spot for Poizone. I think it is seriously under-rated.

Talking about GAS, there is going to be a lot of hot air come the end of this month. It's back to the baked beans  .

I know someone asked vis a vis Edison vs ScliceX earlier in the thread and I'll dig that out, but can anyone else chip in or give their opinion between these two for using in other hosts obviously. Do you know, I don't even know if Edison is Stand alone. Gonna have a look now.

Thanks.
