Device panel sharing thread (Bitwig remote controls for devices)

Thank you aMUSed for this thread and the panels! Also big thanks to strovoknights, Ixegs and everyone who has contributed panels.
I recently started using Bitwig on Linux and picked up a Push2 controller for it. While playing around I noticed that a few of my U-he plugins automapped which was amazing. I was pretty confused though on why only some plugins mapped and some didn't. I couldn't find anything in the Bitwig docs or any clues in the filesystem. I eventually found this thread after some searching. I was surprised Bitwig doesn't promote this more as it is a convenient feature.
Is there a list anywhere of all the plugins that have built-in device panels in Bitwig?
Besides the U-he devices I noticed d16's Drumazon, Nepheton, Nithonat, & Phoscyon had built-in panels as well.
Since discovering this thread I've spent a bunch of time building panels for around a hundred plugins that I'll share here shortly once I get them sorted to upload.

Yeah we had to work this out from pretty much nothing. I don't understand why Bitwig don't promote the concept more either, but I do know that support for premapped plugins is hit and miss mainly because very few devs are aware of it or bother to create them (u-he are an exception but they have a special relationship with Bitwig). I don't know how many plugins are actually premapped that ship with Bitwig though because the feature is so hidden away and undocumented, you can't even tell easily which device panel corresponds to which plugin.metasequence wrote: Thu May 21, 2020 4:59 am Thank you aMUSed for this thread and the panels! Anything you contribute would be very welcome, although check my big folder on Dropbox as I have created panels for pretty much all my plugins that I use regularly enough to bother. Where we are particularly lacking is VST3 panels because this all started when VST2 was still more the dominant format but that is changing.

I tried to include only my original panels in this repo at this time. My apologies if I inadvertently included any I downloaded from others on this thread. It's kind of pain to manage and track these.
All of these are VST2 since when I started I noticed there were a bunch more of the built-in U-he panels for VST2 than VST3 and that everyone in this thread was making the VST2 versions. I also haven't bothered to get Windows VST3 plugins working in Linux yet.

I've made a device panel for Synapse Obsession here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oapekhmafhgir ... 3.zip?dl=1
Unlike the NKS implementation I have mapped the A and B layers and also the switches (even though they are not ideal using knobs I still would like to have control of them). tbh the NKS implementation is crap, I might make an enhanced template for that too using the same design.

Hi MUSE, thanks to the above post, I just discovered this thread, and have downloaded the combined zip file and installed the device pages in the top-level folder, in other words, the one above the manufacturer-specific folders. These work really well, even though I don't have all of the plugins. I was especially pleased to see XPand2 covered as this was one of my first ever VSTs and is still one of my favourites.
I haven't yet unpacked the manufacturer-specific zip files, but was surprised when checking u-he Triple Cheese, to find that device pages already appeared to exist for this plugin. Does the same thing apply to all the other manufacturer-specific zip files?
Also, in the case of u-he Tyroll6, I have the VST3 version installed. Do I need to reinstall the VST2 in order to get your device pages to work?
Finally, is there an easy to follow guide on how to build these pages. I quite fancy creating device pages for the Full Bucket Music plugins at https://www.fullbucket.de/music/vst.html, if no-one has done so already. I'm a veteran coder, so a little techie stuff shouldn't be a problem... (famous last words

No need for code. Insert the device, show remote controls and click the little wrench next to the page name. Preset pages are only for the preset in use while device pages are for any instance of the device.carlca wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 4:19 pm Finally, is there an easy to follow guide on how to build these pages. Also, for multi parameter macros, use a macro modulator to modulate multiple parameters, and then use the Remote Control Macro to control the macro modulator.carlca wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2020 4:22 pmThanks! Hey aMused, have you started a separate dropbox folder for VST3? I've now moved over to VST3 for everything available so I may start making some panels for those if not done yet. But I'm thinking maybe it would be useful to follow the formats already made for some VST2s. It would be nice if Bitwig let you replace a VST2 with a VST3 vesion and maintain panel mappings, modulations etc. for a given preset.

No but I am tending to make these with the VST3 version where possible now (eg Surge, Pendulate). Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any way to convert a VST2 panel into a VST3 one so they have to be redone.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2020 4:52 pm Hey aMused, have you started a separate dropbox folder for VST3?
