Is Phils Cascade good.

There are two truths for me about this plugin:
1. It sounds phenomenal. I believe it's one of the last projects of Reimund Dratwa (Fuse audio labs) before he and André Kirchner left PA, right before PA turned into the Walmart of plugins. I have a lot of respect for these two developers, for me high up there with Toneboosters, PSP, WAvesfactory, McDsp... great coding, great sounds.
2. For me, the cascade is pretty much unusable. I spend a long time with it tweaking this and that. Every tweak gives me the impression that everything sounds better... then I make coffee , take a break, come back to the studio, listen to what I just did just an hour ago... and then I remove the plugin. Personally, it falls into the category of "jerk-off" plugin for me. It's fun for a little while, but when you're done, you realize you somewhat wasted your time...
Anyway, my $0.02 pesos.
I'm selling mine by the way. That's the reason.

That's some interesting comment, thank you very much. I tested 3 PA #plugs; lion, PC & HG blackbox. Pretty quickly decided to get Lion for that price & that the other 2 weren't bad but also not really a $29 plugin. I did find them useful at first Glance, yet agree to the Coffee break Test. Between PC & HG then actually the blackbox made more sense with the more subtle 'Hifi' - Tone to it.

But anyway, wouldn't pay much more than $10 for those kind of things and like you said, there's Fuse & I believe André is the one, running Blackrooster now. Both Top Notch companies with very good 'coloring' - devices.

Yes. I've bought three, and now B codes get rejected flat out, while A codes seem to go through, but then suddenly disappear when I'm about to confirm the order.

Same here. I was able to get three too but no luck on the fourth. I sent a ticket to support just to see. Even if the limit is three I'm super happy with this promotion.

Good decision. I wish we could buy it directly from the good folks at Unfiltered Audio at that price... I'd buy every other plugin they make...

EDIT i subscribed to their newsletter and got an email saying it was to replace the other email that is missing the codes. Except there is no previous email and this one has no codes LOL They do seem to have a fair bit of trouble with their IT systems
