Wow, now that's so nice of them, I had my doubts they had a soul
This is hardly generosity in my book, if you're using their tools for the next 30 days you'll likely end up wanting to buy a few that now feel 'indispensable' in the project. This move by them helps spread exposure of their brand and likely new sales as a result. Nothing wrong with that, just not about having a golden-giving heart in these times.
Funny how different people see the world. :dog:

Even though I feel you, I know I won't buy sht from them. What this makes possible is you can try them all plugins (even the ugliest ones) then write down which ones you like a lot (if any) then wait for them to go on Sale or wait till someone sells it on the Sell and Buy forum for very cheap.

Acustica resetting trials is actually quite useful. Their plugins aren't the kind of things you would leave in place, anyway, due to how much CPU they use, so you don't have to worry about having to redo mixes when your trials time out. Even with the Acustica stuff I own, I always bounce them down and never leave them enabled.

Yes! roll your eyes all you want, I dont see the weight of it.
I’ll roll my eyes, yes. Agreed, people who have no self-control may end up buying something, thats their look out. Maybe PA are trying to do some good in these crazy times, but no, you're just typical of the keyboard warriors who post shit because you can.
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

yeah but you really don't know do you? Or are you a mind reader? Of course they want people to buy their plugs but that doesn't mean they didn't do this to help out a little either.

This is really not the time to be cynical - bigger fish to fry - maybe it would be better to channel that negativity into something positive. Go shopping for an elderly neighbor.
PA do some things that not a lot of other companies do... Their loyalty vouchers and really good sales. If you don't like their plugins don't buy them, it's that simple. And unless Dirk has literally physically punched you, there is really nothing to moan about.

Guys and gals, such animosity. It says more about your tolerance for differing views.

It does seem like Straw Men replies.

This is my true opinion, Im entitled to one right? I genuinely dont think its a big deal that companies like Acustica and PA are offering extended and reset demos. They both offered demos up until now, 14 days if I recall. Nothing new then. These are demos. Relax everyone.

I was saying I dont think this is golden hearted generosity. Im not at all pushing down the 'cold capitalists' vibe necessarily, Im not ruling it out either, Id do the same by getting as many people as possible playing with my plugins over the competition. Its no biggie.

Its ironic Im seen as the keyboard warrior who posts shit because I can when the responses feel more that than mine.

I said nothing of the quality of their plugins! I own some PA plugins. Im not moaning, Im commenting because I dont think its a big deal. This is a bargains thread discussion, I like the info here and I contribute every once in a while. I didn't see my comments as negativity, its not personal.

They already offer demos on their product line. Very little has changed. Its been extended for extra 14 days and reset for those who want a second round of trials. Big deal.

I can see how some of you see the comment as cynical, but its really not a mean spirited keyboard warrior diatribe. People have different opinions.

It seems to me that Q Up Arts and Cherry Audio were the first companies to provide nice gifts, along with uplifting and thoughtful messages. Let's just lay more praise on them instead of knocking anyone down for not giving enough. ;)

Out of curiosity, how do people get loyalty/monthly vouchers from PA, that too regularly? Do you purchase or obtain license via transfers every month?

I have only been their customer for a month now (after the leap year sale), but have not received any such vouchers. I think it is too short a duration to be considered a loyal customer. ;)
