Quick question.
Where does
"Factory Sounds Drums" Go?
or these are extras not used from within Rapid?

The new granular soundbank is top draw and well worth the wait! As well as the presets there are 155 new multi samples in the library for granular (or anything else you want!)

Pre-set switching is instantaneous now, even with 3 osc per layer and multiple layers...great coding...
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Great new update Parawave team!! Love the new granular functionality and presets!!! :D

To whoever needs to hear it on Mac, be sure to restart after you install the update. Mine wouldn’t appear in Logic X again until after I rebooted.

This is Parawave being awesome. Those ZIP files are WAVs of the same drum samples that are already installed in Rapid with the preset pack, whether factory or expansion. That way, you may use those samples in your DAW's drum machine/rack, rather than using them inside of Rapid.

@parawave
damn sorry, I missed the granular elements package when I installed the update, there's a bunch of cool sample material in there, would have made for a better stream, I'll definitely be using those samples on the next Rapid stream, or when I stream on the next update

This is, by far, the best granular engine I have used, both in terms of its capabilities and its UI.

Got ya.
Thanks.
I have already seen from its inception that they are intent on growing the platform.
Happy to be a new family member.

I am currently watching it and the results you create are really interesting. Nice to see, that the Granular-Synth is easy for you to use. :-)

A little tip: In the first layer, you are using a volume-release (envelope) of over 31 seconds and you turned down the slope. As you can see, while playing, the CPU rises up to 40%. Thats because the release of all voices from the past are still running. That means, that the oscs are generating thousands of grains in the background, which are not noticeable. To fix this, just decrease the release and make the slope a bit higher. The results are almost the same but your cpu usage will fall down to a good value ;-)

And now, I will watch your video till the end. :-)

Peace!

Edit: Using the Granular as PM source for a deep sinewave,... awesome idea dude! :-)

Hopefully another quick question.
Is there a quick way to do a bulk import of all my wavetables that work in Serum and/or Hive?
Thanks

Rapid is my absolute favourite synth.. the first one I turn to (and mostly the last one I turn to) when I need a synth.

So excited for this update! :)

I did. I couldn't find one that did.
Which is why I asked here.
I have quite a few in folders and subfolders.

That certainly didn't seem to suggest that you could, easily.

Hey thanks for watching my video, I get your point on the envelope tail, I'm not a fan of linear release, which is why I change the slope, I like the sound of the notes fading out slowly vs dropping linearly. The cpu spike isn't a huge issue for me in that context. But there is a strong difference in sound between linear and curved release, it's more noticeable at lower poly though, so maybe if there was a note counter I'd change the release shape and time with more notes (more notes> shorter linear release). that'd probably be ideal, but when playing notes one or 2 after each-other the curve is definitely more preferred.

Agree but I dont mean that you should make the envelope linear. I mean to increase the curve a bit. In your case the last 15 seconds of the release are just silence. Make the release shorter and increase the slope. You will have exactly the same results ;-)
