Not the right place to ask I guess, but what's the closest alternative to KORG Collection - WAVESTATION?

Just need a quick suggestion.

Maybe Waldorf Largo. Lots of tweakable ROM presets in banks and great quality sounds even though both VSTs are long in the tooth and desperately need a UI overhaul.

If it's same sounds you're after then maybe UVI Waverunner.

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked the prices of both Largo and Waverunner and they are quite expensive compared to Korg Wavestation. I think Wavestation can be had for $25 during promotions, right? Not sure when they have the promotions though. I remember pirating Wavestation when I started, I really loved the sounds.

Regarding GUI, I think that would be a problem. I just downloaded the demos of Korg Legacy plugins through this link since I could not find any official demo.

EDIT: Demoed them quickly. Horrible GUI. Otherwise, I love the sound of Wavestation and MonoPoly.

I don't know if I'm sad or happy that I missed the Oeksound sale. They have two of the only plugins I'm currently interested in, but I'm also trying to not spend money since the economy is going to hell.

Hard to tell, they had one with Black Friday, then one with the release of the new Triton and since then I'm not sure. I expect one soon though as its been a while. If I recall correctly all the older ones get dropped to $25 (instead of 29 woops) so the Wavestation and the M1 are great synths at that price! The GUI is the main complaint for most but personally I can work with that. I have the M1Le and was waiting for the collection upgrade to drop to $99 as they often do but then they released the Triton and bumped the prices quite high

Maybe contact them to ask if you can get Soothe at the sale price. If you tell them what you just said here, I imagine they’ll be sympathetic. They’re very nice people. Both plugins are great but Soothe is more of a must-have. It’s really special.

Odds are that Waldorf Largo will eventually go on sale more often now that Plugin Alliance acquired PPG Wave. Dirk mentioned it will take a little while before they fall under the PA site.

I'm tempted, but no. I've been seeing my credit card balance go down for once, as opposed to the past year's trends of creeping upwards and upwards and upwards.

Thanks, that helps. GUI is a bit of a problem for me on my 2K screen, but for $25 I might get Wavestation (or MonoPoly) if at all.

By the way, Windows Defender is treating Portal's CHAOS Expansion for PC as a trojan (Trojan:Win32/Sonbokli.A!cl) with high severity. The MAC download seems fine.

I too have been frustrated by the way my old Paperwhite handles images.

I usually read things like this on my iPad Kindle app. I think the Fire or the PC version of the kindle app also work.

I'm using virtual Android software to read Kindle books + Audible audiobooks with the "immersive reading" feature, missing from the PC version.
