Seriously, though, I'm not going to be a **** to them, it is in good fun to give some grief over an accident when it isn't a grave situation (especially in the middle of a grave situation overall in the world, we do like to still have a little fun with each other even if it is a bit of a love slap here and there).

But I could use the cream too, I just luckily find my unhappy accidents before things are released to the wild lately but I know I'm going to trip up sooner or later and might want to have the cream ready.

Personally not got any GAS for this and with the price around that of Keyscape, I'd probably go for the latter ahead of it as I prefer the sound in the demos I've heard.

I think it will be worthy addition. I only liked a handful of instruments from Kontakt library when I used to make orchestral stuff. IMO, Philharmonik is more suitable for light/slow/classical orchestral pieces. I assume you don't expect them to sound huge.

It will also qualify you for Total Studio 2 Max Crossgrade, which will ultimately give you Philharmonik 2 full.

Yeah, i think all the haters on IKM is a little unfair. The IKM products are decent and well priced. I think the disdain is rooted in the very pushing marketing strategy that is inherently built into the software products. The default cluttering of software interface with all the other products the user does not own yet. Hint hint @Peter... I think you might get more die hard fanbois if that was slowly removed from the products.

^ yup. got the black 76 freebie, and the installation process and the pushy marketing made me feel like these are not products that can sell on their own merit. it's a shame, and i've read and hear a lot of good things about IK, but this left a sour taste in my mouth that i've not yet gotten over with.

yup. PA uses email marketing A LOT. for me, they go straight to my "marketing" folder on my email and don't feel a bit invasive. pretty annoying sometimes, just like any ad.

installing shitloads of useless data with your freebie on the other hand doesn't feel like just an ad that i can ignore or be interested in. it feels like i have no control over what i get with my order. it feels like malware. this is not good marketing, and you acknowledged it in your post. there are positive sides to the company, but this is a negative and is not needed to have the positives.
