Or when they're selling FabFilter Pro-Q 3TITANAsx wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 11:37 am Many users here are selling softube and Soundtoys plugins. What I don’t get is that these plugs are top of the notch, maybe the best plugins around. How it comes that so many ppl selling em? What are they goin to buy next? Or do they go hardware? Just for curiosity am asking.

I sold all my Softube stuff because it's imo not top notch, it's fairly mediocre and missing a lot of modern features when trying to emulate some boring old equipment. And it's far too expensive.TITANAsx wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 11:37 am Many users here are selling softube and Soundtoys plugins. Soundtoys is okay, but besides the delay stuff there is nothing exceptional what other quality developers don't offer. Main reason I sold my bundle was that there seem to be no further development happen. GUI are outdated. They just live from their glorious past without going on.

I have some stuff from both developers and am pretty happy at least with many of the products. Could you please let us all know what is "top notch" from your perspective, so I can run some tests over the weekend. I am always ready to optimize my (soft) gear.Calenberger wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 11:56 am I sold all my Softube stuff because it's imo not top notch, it's fairly mediocre and missing a lot of modern features when trying to emulate some boring old equipment. There are all sorts of top notch out there, different strokes for different folks. There is constant raging debate at gearslutz about all of this. For some it can boil down to the oversampling multiples available and options available for phase and filters, ultimately I think its workflow and the sound you go for, the interface you prefer and at times the lack of problems in a plugin or company that makes you choose not to use them.ralfrobert wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 12:03 pmI have some stuff from both developers and am pretty happy at least with many of the products. If Softube plugs dont have a resizeable gui, have a finicky knob for output thats imprecise or meters that dont respond and react how you like it, these could be simple reasons.
One may have chosen to sell Fabfilter Pro Q3 because they prefer Crave EQ or DMG Equilibrium. So many plugin choices, you cant have them all in your mixes!

Can't imagine mixing without FabFilter Pro-Q 3. I don't really bother trying any alternatives for it. Wish there were more such plugins in all categories. GAS would have been easier to control.

I wouldn't like to speculate too hard about why anyone's selling anything at the moment.
Hard times for a hell of a lot of people right now even if hopefully just temporary.

Yes, that was kinda implicit (and taken out of equation). It's indeed a difficult time for many. I hope things will improve soon and situation will become better for all.

I'm currently test-driving Plugin Alliance's Triad. Very cool plugin and I'm thinking of using the $49 coupon to get it.
However, also wondering if you can apply the coupon to the BYOME/TRIAD bundle which is the same price as TRIAD by itself. Looks like you probably don't really need BYOME if you get TRIAD, but all things being equal, it'd be nice if it was thrown in.
Anyone know for sure?
Cheers

I kind of think they are apples and oranges. At least to me. Komplete has better instruments. At least that is what I use it for. IKM has better effects and amps.Vleker wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 12:38 amI feel like a few people will be upset with this question3ptguitarist wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 12:21 am Is total studio max worth getting? How does it compare to komplete 12?you can scroll back through the tread because a few pages cover it. A quick summary: yes it's a good deal, depending on what you have and need. Komplete has pros and cons but is more expensive.
And others may disagree. But all the sample libraries you can get for Kontakt make it much more valuable to me than Sampletank.

Thanks. I'm new to PA and thought that "testing" the coupon might inadvertently use it up.mladi wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 10:36 pmNot working.BERFAB wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 9:44 pm I'm currently test-driving Plugin Alliance's Triad. Very cool plugin and I'm thinking of using the $49 coupon to get it.
