Looks awesome, and even though the order of things takes a while to get used to, it's much better than the original arrangement. The big knobs are perfect. It was about time for Oatmeal to get a proper suit.

Excellent work!

Even pdf skinning tutorial would be nice 8)

jon, a pdf is possible too. video was mainly for illustrating key points. it sometimes helps to watch and learn. i know i learn well that way.

glad you like the skin man. feel free to make any .jon variations :D i'm gonna fix these bugs then see how easy it is to do a color change for a new flavor. i think blueberry was next on the list.

steponeloops wrote:OK, Grymm, just 1 (small) bug: random voice amp and freq seem to be in wrong order... that's all I found.

again: great work! your skin launched that beastie from the middle of the field to my no1!!! it seems to sound even better now ;)
awesome you guys are the bug killaz :)

thanks very much for your compliments everyone.

i know i've been having tons of fun with oatmeal myself too. i really really like this synth, it sounds unlike ANY other synth and /that/ is something special.. it has so much crazy character to it.

i'm still learning how to coax out certain types of sounds but that's what makes it so fun.

As beautiful as this skin is, i'm a blind f*ck with a 1280x1024 res that would love to use this, but can't due to my failing eyesight. :( I envy all you people who aren't blind c*nts. :(

all fixed. same download location.

btw, jakob added the horizontal=1 support to knobs, and gave me a dll to test. it works great just as i thought it would, and he actually mentioned that he was thinking of giving skinners control over the 'constants' for movement of the knobs (which i interpreted to mean the distance of travel required for a frame of animation/value adjustment) which would be FREAKING awesome because we could really fine-tune things.

ok gonna do the excited version ;)

Post

Broken link?
BTW are there instructions on how to install it anywhere?
Thanks!

Post

excited version is completed. :)

it took all of 5 minutes... so this means that hue/saturation adjustments can be made in the same way (simple workflow was dragging the layerset containing the adjustment layers right onto the PNGs)...

so... :)

which link is broken?

to install, simply extract the zip into your oatmeal_skins directory with pathnames.

Thank you for this awesome skin and for your generosity with your time and talent Grymmjack. It is truly a work of art! :)

I wish you could do skins like this for some of the REAPER plugins. :)

I'm also only getting The requested URL /designermonkey/kvr/oatmeal/gj-maple.zip was not found on this server for the original (non-excited version).

edit: - now it's working, strange.

re: try this:

double the size of all the pngs with a photo editor.

then in the oms, multiply *2 all of the width/heights :)

or better yet, try this: start | run | type magnify

:)enlarge the window, and size to taste.

edit: at 1280x1024 surely you have some room for a magnifier :)
