Hi folks,

We have a new release

This new version 1.9.9.12 has the following updates:

1. UPDATED: We updated the user manual, now it is 22 pages

2. NEW: Starting with build 12, SynthMaster initializes the wavetable/waveform caches when it's run for the first time. By this way, we reduced the archive size from 40 MB to 3.3 MB, which should be faster to download!

3. NEW: Wavetables are now categorized

For this to work properly, IMPORTANT: Delete your existing "Resources" folder, and then extract the archive

4. NEW: For wavetable oscillators, waveform/spectrum be displayed

Which should be very useful when sequencing waveforms!!!

5. NEW: SynthMaster VSTi Demo is introduced in this build as well

Might be just for me but ....

Versions X.11 and X.12 jsut doesnt work here.

I I replace my authorised V X.10 with either .11 and .12 version :

Standalone version crashes.

In host Synthmaster just wont show.

Note : I just extrat the archives and overwrite the older version with the new files extracted, might be the wrong way to do it ? Dont know

How I proceedded : Extracted V 1...11 then overwrote files of te previous version (10) in my VST folder but didnt test this one. Installed then V 1.12 but it didnt work at all. Overwrite V1..12 with 1.11 still didnt work. Overwrote with 1.10 files and then it worked again

.....

Can you shed any light on this Bulent please ?

Ah yes it works now

However this is demo version and cant save presets so .....

Soooo .... might be stupid but ...... Cant seem to find how to input my user code atm. There are just a "buy now" button and then a "ok" wich leads to demo mode whan I launch SM2.

Not very handy to make presets I'm afraid.

Any light on this ?

Umm, are you sure you downloaded the beta, and not the demo?

I just downloaded the beta on my office computer, and works fine.

Psst: still have a daytime job to pay the bills. I hope that will end with SynthMaster 2.0

Installed 1.9.9.12 now. The new categories and spectrum view for the waveforms/wavetables are very nice. So far the manual is really excellent.

BUT... Some things still missing:

1.) filter response for the comb filter

2.) The Easy Controls don't seem to work in the current version

3.) The old problem with missing patch names after loading an Ableton Live project.

I just realized that I am not saving preset name when saving preset data. That means that a SynthMaster 2.0 VST plugin instance doesnt know that name of the preset My bad. Anyhow, will fix this one tonight.

About highlighting in the browser: Might add that one later on.

When opening the GUI of a certain instance in Ableton Live it shows "Preset Name" as the patch name. All other patch settings are OK but without the name it's difficult to reproduce WHICH patch it was.

The new beta 12 has new issue with Asio4All - each time I run it, I must setup the audio driver again, if not it plays only the basic patch and when I jump to next one, there's some sound errutpion and it doesn't work anymore, untill I set it up again.

There wasn't this issue in older betas.

PS: It's happening in standalone mode, I didn't test the VSTi yet.

PSPS: Also there's again some problem with Creative Asio drivers - now this was present even in the older versions and that's why I had to use the Asio4All.

The thing is I did not make any changes regarding ASIO, or audio input/output codes, so I am helpless with that specific problem

Is the buffer size of your ASIO device a multiple of 16? Such as 128, 256, 512 samples? Try making it at least 128/256 maybe that helps?

Just added the comb filter response!

I tested the easy controls and they seem to work. I should just assign them to some controllers by default, such as controllers 21-28 ?

I'm gonna fix the naming problem tonight though.

Hi, yes I'm using multiple of 16. I have tried setting the buffer double the size before and it did help. Still strange, that before it worked with lower settings. So I guess it's OK as I don't care that much if the buffer is bit higher or not.

512 is not that bad, but 1024 is too much for the ear

2. FIXED: Pan L/R interchanged
3. FIXED: When a plugin window is opened after the project is loaded, the preset name is not displayed.
