Yay, thanks! I like to have some madness in a track because it creates nice contrast. And contrast is what makes a track interesting. Without it, the track would be boring.Taron wrote:That's super cute! Has a great chiptune feel to it! And I like the portion of madness in it, too! GREAT to have you on board!Programator2 wrote:Hey guys!
I wanted to participate in the OSC for a long time. This month I was finally able to do that. So here's my entry:

I enjoyed making the track and hope to push my limits further creating tracks for the upcoming challenges.![]()

Cool track, always interesting watching someone else work, though one question, doesn't he have to turn off the Chorus part of those Reverbs, just something I have done when using Live's reverbs for OSC so it fits in the rules.bjporter wrote:Well this is cool... Erm, don't wanna be a spoiler, but those toms sound so realistic to me, that I cannot believe you used noisemaker for the sound generation.... Did you?ThePresent wrote:Hi there, just updated my mix:

Maybe you can give me some hints? Did you use multiple instances and only filtering in the synth or additional daw filters?
So impressive, these toms...

Sure it's only the Noisemaker. Indeed I used multiple instances for nearly every piece of the drumkit, the snare has about 12 of themHanz Meyzer wrote:Erm, don't wanna be a spoiler, but those toms sound so realistic to me, that I cannot believe you used noisemaker for the sound generation.... Filtering was only done with the Noisemaker but of course there's some additional eq'ing done in the mix.
I read an interview with Jaap Eggermont once who stated that drums are only pieces of hum and hiss put together, so there you go: I had a ball with the noise generator.
For cymbals and rides I added the FM function to the layers.
And of course I just HAD to use one preset from Jasinski, the hihat

Hm, I guess, the thing is, the drums are above and beyond everything else in the track.
...doesn't surprise me that you'll get a question about it.
...not like it's "bad", don't get me wrong, but there's a quite significant difference in nature.

Sometimes my song names come right to me. Other times I get stuck, so I just go here and play around until I get inspired:Laxplanet wrote:Of course noisemaker being a Juno copy I started reading about Roman mythology on wikipedia and from there Greek mythology and so on and so on...z.prime wrote:Welcome to the world: songs need names.Laxplanet wrote:I was about the upload my entry and just realized I don't have a name for it.
