Because I buy a new computer every year, I run into these problems all the time but I can't say I've ever had any trouble getting more authorisations from anyone. Maybe that's because I respect their right to protect their property and don't carryon like an entitled arsehole but, whatever it is, every company I've dealt with has had no problems resetting my account. Of course, it's even less hassle if you have iLok protected software because you can control all that yourself, which is probably why I like iLok.

Interestingly, I opened a song last night hat uses V-Station and noticed it was unauthorised. It's so long since I've used it for anything, I'm not sure I care any more. It will probably be a lot less hassle to replace it with something else. Like the K-Station I had, it's a really nice instrument but I've got a metric shit-ton of really nice instruments so one more or less isn't the end of the world.

Yes, but with effort which I am unwilling to make. It took me two minutes to find something else to do its job last night, having to email myself the HTML page and then futz about at work getting the license code, bringing it home and putting it wherever it's meant to go doesn't seem worth the time or effort.

See it from their perspective: It's very hard to make sure that the plugins are used within the intended terms. I don't know what happened in your case, but, if you autohorize and re-authorize the plugin 10 times, I can't blame them for thinking there's something fishy. Especially as most developers surely won't implement complex checks to make sure it's the customer which has authorized it every time.

The usual reminder: You only buy a license to use the software, the software isn't yours.

Although this thread is about V-Station of course, not about copy protections.

They did offcourse help me out after we talked it out and i do understand their right to defend their Property and things can easily be miss understood when it comes to short words on a screen instead of vocal Communication.

So i am sorry for hanging out Synapse audio Since they are a great company and they do have great products so for that i appologize

I will try the option mentioned here to see if i can authorize V-Station again

Nice move nonetheless, as the activation process wasn't really doable in modern browsers anymore.

Or did they just renew the activation website? I just checked, and, the download is still version 2.6., so, I assume they didn't really remove the activation process.

Just installed V Station and BassStation, had them both years back, they are still sounding good in comparison to stuff around today. In FL Studio I have no problem accessing BassStations presets but for V Station it seems you have to click program up or down on the interface, there doesn't seem to be any other way of selecting them.
Anyone else having the same problem in other DAWs?

You click activate and you are prompted to save a key file somewhere, you then load the same file back in to activate, seems like a web link is still in there somewhere cause it will bring up your browser, but no page actually loaded for me at least.

Meant to say, the names of the V Station keyfile and the BassStation keyfile are identical so save them in separate folders. You will get an error if you try to use the wrong keyfile.
