Well, I wrote a post about something I couldn't figure out.
Then I figured it out.
So this post is really nothing to take notice of.
Move ahead.

I have 2 things...
Fine tuning should be mapped to the right mouse switch, this works a lot better instead of holding shift+mouse (I don't know how often people use the "lock" function?)
Maybe a limitation with the hardware, there is no "legato" mode?

I would say it does... It has an extraordinary sound quality - with a presence and character that is its own and is almost effortless.fuxoft wrote:I already own u-he's Zebra2 and ACE. I am not expecially interested in exact emulation of old synths. Does Repro offer something additional I cannot get from the other two? I tried the demo and it doesn't seem so to me.

Then think of it less as 'emulating' old synths and more as providing a quality in the sound that even the most modern synths are often missing.fuxoft wrote:I already own u-he's Zebra2 and ACE. I am not expecially interested in exact emulation of old synths.

Like you I'm someone that has zero interest in whether these soft-synths perfectly emulate some old vintage analog synth, I just care about whether a synth (soft or hard, oo err) is an interesting great sounding synth in its own right, and on that front Repro absolutely delivers. It has this inherent lush organic character that really adds something to a mix.fuxoft wrote:I already own u-he's Zebra2 and ACE. I am not expecially interested in exact emulation of old synths. I own all of U-He's synths, know them well, and I still remember the big grin on my face the first time I fired up Repro1 and started playing with it. Same happened with Repro5, nothing better for a sound designer when a synth is so incredibly inspiring, great sounding and fun to use that it makes the preset making an absolute joy.

I don't know the original hardware other than its name. So, what was its signature instrument or sound category? Which of the factory presets are typical Prophet sounds?

It would be nice to have the original bank to test

My favorite soft synth uses both RMB and SHIFT and you can even press both at the same time for megaultraultimate precision - which is far more useful than most developers seem to think, it feels truly analog...4damind wrote:I have 2 things...

What a good sounding synth plugin. Chapeau!!
I think i found a bug. The Poly Aftertouch feature has some problems: Just load the Init patch and route Aftertouch to Cutoff e.g.: 40, Matrix Depth to e.g.: +50. Play different keys with different pressure. Sometimes the pressure of one key affects the other keys too. Also hitting a new key, "reset" the CUTOFF of other keys which was held down before.
Did the same with Diva (INIT-Jupe-8). No problem.
Poly AT comes from my Kurzweil MIDIBOARD.
Anybody else?

OK thanks!Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:The R5 patches haven't been tagged yet and are still WIP.24dB wrote:sorry if this has already been answered, but when I install R5 on my PC Im not getting any .NKS presets.
(besides the .init file)
There are for R1, just not R5. Should there be any?
Thanks!

The usual analog poly synth stuff, especially pads, leads. I think it was especially good at synth keys. another odd thing found out: Switching through presets on Velvet, synth stops to play. Is this intended?
