I just submitted this ridiculous thing to this month's song contest here. As stupid as it is, I love it.

Moist And Chewy

Moist and chewy moist and chewy
That's what grandma's cookies are
Moist and chewy moist and chewy
Here comes an A minor seventh chord

I like moist and chewy cookies
I'm sure that you like them too
So let's sit and have a dozen
We can eat them me and you

Moist and chewy moist and chewy
Cannot get enough of them
Moist and chewy moist and chewy
A minor seventh chord's my friend

I like moist and chewy cookies
I know that you do agree
So let's sit and have two dozen
We can eat them you and me

Instrumental Break

I like moist and chewy cookies
They're the best as we've discussed
So let's sit and have ten dozen
We can eat them all of us

wagtunes,
Thank you for the reviews! Now your song "Moist & Chewy": I hope you don't take this the wrong way, though this song sounds like theme music for a kids TV program. Perhaps there is even a market for this. The vocals sound a bit more natural (less synthetic) this time. For the style, I think it is well done. :)

wagtunes,
Since you reviewed 2 songs of mine, I'll review another song of yours (Frodo): The synthetic vocals are OK, though I prefer the female vocals on "Moist & Chewy". I like the melodies for the most part, though "Moist & Chewy" (preferred) was more upbeat. Instrumental realism is pretty good. I liked the song better once it got past the first 50 seconds. I think younger people would tend to like this, though not as young as "Moist & Chewy". Keep at it!

Moist And Chewy was done as a joke. Kids show? Probably. I think it would also fit for a cookie commercial.

Anyway, thanks for the listens.

Another from "The Vocaloids Live At Carnegie Hall"

Drifting Aimlessly

Drifting aimlessly
Into the night
Drifting aimlessly
No cares in sight

I see eternity in front of me
I see my destiny it's there to see

Drifting aimlessly
Pure thought is here
Drifting aimlessly
There is no fear

When you're drifting aimlessly

While I'm waiting for my SSD drives to come in, I've been writing just to have something to do. Will probably call this odds and ends collection "Outtakes" or something like that. Set up a playlist for it just in case this takes a while. This is the 2nd track so far.

Joey

And if I can see the day when I fly
Reach up to the stars and be with my guy
Never will I have to be afraid then
Please oh God just won't you please tell me when

Cause I am waiting for
Don't wanna wait no more
So please come to me I need you right now
Joey
Joey

Second chances they don't happen often
Sometimes not until you're in your coffin
But I don't intend to let you slip by
If you do I surely know that I'll die

This Avanna sounds really nice.
Right now I need some female background vocals for pop song backings.
I found Avanna for sale here but it says Vocaloid 3:

https://zero-g.co.uk/products/avanna-vocaloid-3

I have 3 questions:
1) Do you know if I can use this with Cubase 9.5?
2) Or do I have to buy Vocaloid 5?

3) And which of all the Vocaloid singers do you think are the best for natural sounding female pop background vocals?

Thanks. :)

I use Avanna with Vocaloid 4. She'll work with either 4 or 5. If Vocaloid itself works with Cubase 9.5 (I'd have to think it does or a lot of people are gonna be pissed) then Avanna will work fine.

My opinion of which Vocaloid is the most "natural" sounding for pop background vocals would be Avanna.

However, she is the most difficult of all the Vocaloid singers to process. You will need to EQ her extensively.

Thanksalot.
I just bought Avanna after I saw this:

Avanna Vocaloid3 PC Software includes VOCALOID3 Editor Lite (also known as Tiny Vocaloid3 Editor) which has the following features:

Piano-roll style note editor, importing functionality from a standard MIDI file (limited for 1 track and 17 bars)

Inputting lyrics and automatic conversion to phonemes

Assigning musical expression templates from an Icon
Palette
Sending notes, lyrics and musical expression to the Synthesis Engine

Saving vocal data as a .wav file

Changing synthesis parameters
Effects (Reverb only)

Playback .wav files

So it is only 16 bars and I have to export audio to Cubase.
I`ll see how this works for me.
If I need more, there is a dedicated Cubase Editor 4.5 inside Vocaloid 5:

I can't give you any info about Vocaloid 3 editor or any editor other than V4 for Cubase or V5. But my understanding is that those other editors are very limited, which is why I waited until the Cubase editor came out with V4 before I ever even bothered with Vocaloid. I didn't need the hassle of the limitations. I think you'll find it's a PITA to work with.

I just need it for some short vocals in the chorus, may`be it works.
Thanks for your information. :tu:

Another one from "Outtakes"

My Forever Valentine

My forever valentine
Brings me roses and everything is fine
He knows how to treat me right
He's my forever valentine

My forever valentine
Gives me kisses and everything is fine
He knows how to love at night
