+1000 for the suggestion D ! Especially about the multiplier ! With functions not only as multiply/divide but also as Sin, Cosin, Exponential and ExpInvert it would be absolutely great !resistent wrote:I play with this synth since the demo appeared and have to say great work! I also impressed by the enhancements so far. Nevertheless I have some suggestions / complaints
.
(a) The delay feedback is way to sensitive (btw this is also the case with Tal-Dub-X)
(b) Like someone mentioned before it would be great to change the graphic elements of the ADSR to sliders like in Tal Bassline.
(c) A recommendation for the cable problem: Do the cable management like Madrona Labs within their products. With one click on the destination point one can switch between the cables (mod source) and a double click or drag drop remove the connection.
(d) A multiplier / multiples with basic math function would be a great addition and maybe a third lfo or loopable ADSR ?
Let's see what happens to this nice product. I'm still wait and make a bunch of patches before buying

Expanding on the multiplier idea, what about a section beside the LFOs that has 4 or 6 modulation multiplier sections. each sections inputs a mod source and has a tempo divider either numeric or sync value and outputs a time modified modulation signal. This way the 2 LFOs and ADSRs etc can be used but with a differeht timing to help give more mod sources to play with.

sure, there are many VAs out there, capable of the same sounds this one makes, but the dev rocks and it is fun to use!

@ToguAudioLine - Not specific to TAL Mod (it happens with all the installers), but when using the Setup exe to update a particular VSTi it doesn't seem to remove the older version from the Add/Remove software list in Windows. I only noticed this last night after using the installers for each of your plugins for the last couple of couple of years (I have them all as they're so great!), and had well close to 100 entries in that list - dozens for each instrument/effect. Took a little while to clean out but saved me a good chunk of disk space in the process !

I haven't tested v 1.0.3 yet, but yesterday I noticed that the problem I have reported to Patrick has been fixed in v 1.0.2
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

yeah those ADSL sliders are a bit cramped, especially in contrast to the seemingly wasted space of the LFOs. Why do the rectangle GUI boxes all have to line up anyway? maybe the attack and release shape pots could go above the faders or something? Wish i could re-skin this thing.
Sounds great!
good bread n butter synth too, and amazing price!
be keen to hear some commercial soundbanks once it's finished.
seems quite stable. I like the scaling of the controls with the Macbook trackpad.
quite a tight and tidy sound...

Overall, really enjoying this plugin (as I do with all the TAL plugins, really).
First issue -- I can't get Portamento working at all when it's in "Auto" mode. I'm playing legato, and there's absolutely no glide going on. In "on" mode it glides as expected; Auto mode, there's no gliding at all.
Second Issue -- Dotted 8ths in the Delay are not syncing correctly with host tempo when Sync is On. They sound totally out of time in my recorded sequence. When playing regular 8ths, it locks right in, as expected; dotted 8ths, it's an off-tempo mess.
Third, as already mentioned by someone else, the feedback knob on the Delay is totally absurd; when set to just 10% or so, it's giving the same amount you'd get from like 75% on most delay plugins. I can't imagine why it needs to escalate that early.
Finally, I'd really like to see a standard Ping Pong mode for the Delay. the x2 buttons are nice for making the signal go stereo, but you get a lot of overlapping / centered repeats as a result, I'd really like a clean true Ping Pong mode, if possible. As is, I'm inclined to just skip the delay and use a plugin instead, but with a bit more configurability, this wouldn't be necessary.
cheers!

I'm not sure if it's better to post suggestion here, but still:
- I think OSCs would benefit from simple SOLO/MUTE switches right next to its name.
- GUI real estate distribution is quite uneven. Recently added ADSR cramped the other too, however LFOs are so lavish. Output and rate input could be easily moved above UNI button thus freeing some space for ADSRs.
Also I'd like to compliment the synth and developer behind it for a fresh look on workhorse VA. I like cables better than matrix anyway. And UI is one page-ish, always a plus.

the added ADSR ruined it for me as it makes it unusable on Surface and any touch device. too crammed now to interact with fingers.
it already had 3 Envelopes (2 ADSR + mod draw envelope), I don't think the extra envelope at the cost of user experience is a good idea.
to reduce the need for extra Envelopes maybe the LFO modules could have a delay knob added to them.
