Let me guess, it has a rising siren effect and speeding up snare rush going into the drop, the drop consists of a simple three-note synth riff and pounding kick, then the whole thing gets pitched up higher and higher (to make it exciting), then you get an atmospheric *boof* and a bar or two of relative silence, and the whole thing kicks off again with a subtle layer of extra percussion or something.

Let's not forget the Helicopter sound building anticipation for the drop (insert sound of something hitting toilet water here please)..

It nearly destroyed my ears because the volume of the track is so high...

Everything else sounds pretty boring, maybe that's why the volume has to be so high to make it more impressive.

Well, that was my pre-listening review I did for a laugh, just to see how close I could predict how the track was gonna be. Turns out I wasn't far off. Either the music is generic pabulum or I'm freaking Nostradamus

Yeah, same here. Freaking jumped out of my skin

The mixing and mastering is about the only impressive thing about most of this music. And it can be undone with a simple twist of the volume knob (preferably, right down to zero).

-The Dev
-The cracker

Out of the lot, its the DJ who is getting the most respect.
Turns out, the DJ also gets most of the money, and everything else.
The one doing the least, is king.
And no one cares if the DJ is legit or not.
And true, no one cares much if the producers are legit either, whether they are successful or not, but then the masses dont care about the producers at all, successful or not...
Out of the group, the one with the lowest chance at getting the smallest reward out of the biggest investment- is the dev; the one actually doing the work, creating what everything else is sitting on.

But...the bass...and the...the pumping, kick ducking compressor werk what they studiously gots from a tutorial on the youtube...and...the cool hair. Surely we like the cool hair, the heady heights of cultural identity, yeah?

In all fairness, I probably like some of what gets called EDM (never been entirely sure what that encompasses) but that track was bleedin awful! I want my lost minute back! If anyone watched that youtube thing I posted for a laugh, then I'll count that as revenge! Have at ya!

Almost everything I don't like about electronic music vomitted into my ears.
