That's a bit of a target market specific issue imo.

A dedicated separate noise oscillator would be most useful.

Perhaps if the sub oscillators could double as noise oscillators
Could we get some clarification on this?
Are you talking to yourself again?
It seems that way doesn't it.

Never mind, they can fix it in an update when everybody else that actually uses the plugin for its intended purpose moans about it as well

It is a bit strange, I find, that two of the better known sound developers for that other synth are here on this thread and they haven't gotten alpha versions for input etc.

my 2 cents.

I had the same thought. :)

And worse they specialise in EDM type patches. :-)

As long as it stands for Evil Dragon Music, I might be okay with that!

(I've recently been trying to reconcile my disgust toward the whole genre and have come to find the sticking point to be that they consider it 'Dance'... when it seems more like the stimulation of dead frogs with electricity.)

What's that you said grandpa? :-)

(I am 50 years old so its hard for me to understand, but each generations music and dance is hardly appreciated by the previous generation)

LOL! I like EDM, and program sounds for it - but this exchange made me grin. :hyper: :phones: :tu: 8)

I'm nagging about that also...

It was the very polite way of saying what I wanted to say.
I will leave it as 'strange'.

Once when I seeded an alpha to a sound designer for a paid for gig, I got a bank that was pulled because it sounded different in the final version. I'd rather not rush things, and I'm sure that we'll have fabulous presets in January.

Atm white and pink noise are waveforms of the main oscillators. The sub oscs are merely meant to be "non-super", i.e. they don't inherit the unison setting unless they're set to "like osc" mode. Hence the subs are monophonic when set to their own waveforms. Leaving noise for the main oscs allows for stereophonic noise.

That said, if one oscillator is "wasted" for noise, one can still have 33 sawtooth/whatsoever oscillators per voice, 2 x 16 and 1 x 1 at different pitches. Which IMHO is plenty.

An extra noise generator would certainly be cool, but it would also require extra space and CPU. I'll keep sleeping over it.

Hi Urs, that isn't what I meant at this point. As you have stated lots of time it is alpha cause it may sound differently by rc time.
I meant more for any design inputs etc, like the noise source suggestion above. Like how others have it and are providing doodlings of audio clips, similarly I think it would be very beneficial to u-he to have the two I mention to have alphas to make suggestions and audio clips here...

Assuming of course they are interested in getting said Alpha and providing audio clips, with no promises of being part of the factory bank voicing team. I suspect from their participation in this thread they would be interested. I think Sami even did stuff for the Bazille factory bank.

the fabulous presets convo comes later from me :-)
