I have already inquired and the answer is, no the controller is an add-on.So, in the online shop, they have it listed as $399 USD, does that include the hardware controller? (sorry if this has been asked, but I'm simply not searching through all 251 pages to find it)

I suppose a volume pedal would be OK (on a Stick you don't really have access to the volume knobs while playing, since both hands are tapping strings on frets), but I usully like to assign a pedal to modulate something else... one of the reasons I love the GR2 modulation tools. But I definitely want to try out AT2, I just haven't been able to find a definitive answer as to whether it can handle auto volume effects.SJ_Digriz wrote:ah, you mean like a volume envelope to kill the attack. (err...I use my pinky on the volume knob myself) However, I don't know the answer..............yet! But can't imagine it not being able to, or to easily create the effect using an insert just before it.rpmartino wrote:No, more like "slow gear" on Boss effects.... the attack of the note is gradual. I use it all the time with Chapman Stick, gives a sort of synth-like attack, like this:

So, unlike Guitar Rig, you can get a working version without the controller? Interesting if so, makes it a little bit more appealing since I have no use for the controller.Beardedone wrote:I have already inquired and the answer is, no the controller is an add-on.
And the dongles, they cost about $10-$20 US?

sorry, wasn't suggesting you had to use a Volume knob or Volume pedal...just wanted to make sure we are talking about the same effect. I don't know the answer directly yet, maybe someone else *cough*putte*cough* who has it can tell usrpmartino wrote: I suppose a volume pedal would be OK (on a Stick you don't really have access to the volume knobs while playing, since both hands are tapping strings on frets), but I usully like to assign a pedal to modulate something else... one of the reasons I love the GR2 modulation tools. By the way, you just need a longer pinky to do the volume control on the Stick.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

If you see where the volume knob is located while a Stick is being played, this joke could be modified to be a bit more off-color...SJ_Digriz wrote: By the way, you just need a longer pinky to do the volume control on the Stick.

.. seamoss, again, i've got no clue. the only thing i can tell is whenever my ears like something or dont like something.
i'm no expert, i'm just a musician.
i need musical software that i can feel, not only hear. and AT2 does that trick ..
a real vox will be a real vox for all times, as a real fender will be a real fender for all times. etc., etc. ..
but when you're not after having a 100% perfect simulation, but a very good sounding one though ..
sure, if i had the space, money etc. to buy me all these wonderful vintage gears, and if i'd be skilled enough to then mic these things and record them in a way that would make me happy .. i'd probably say "who needs software?" ..
but as long as i'm on my search for convincing sounds done by software i love plugs like the mtron, the artvista virtual grand, hydratone, colortone pro, and now Amplitube 2 ..

Yes, I was trying not to bring a requirement for a prehensile appendage into the discussionrpmartino wrote:If you see where the volume knob is located while a Stick is being played, this joke could be modified to be a bit more off-color...SJ_Digriz wrote: By the way, you just need a longer pinky to do the volume control on the Stick.
