The plugins may be good, but you newer know, because they make it so hard to get these installed.
Hmm you might want to look at that again. Their installer allows you to select which plugins to install, and also allows you to choose the VST plugin installation folder (at least on Windows). And they have zip archives as well for manual install. Great dev in fact to supply all those options! :tu:
Looking more doesn’t help. I still have to download all the plugins installer, and the installer doesn’t give me the option to choose where to install the vst2. Tried several times.
Third screen in the installer, click on the "vst2 plugins" label and at the bottom right there is a browse button to select the destination.
Harry_HH wrote: Sun Aug 23, 2020 4:37 am Note: this is a demo installer - and now, when I got the installation manual in my hands, it gives the impression, the user isn’t supposed to define the location, gives the most exotic address in your computer where the installer puts the plugin.
The "exotic address"' for the vst3 plugins is the normal folder where every plugin installer puts them, its mandated by steinberg and i guess its the same reasoning for the AAX plugins.

You really should learn to just ask a question here if you dont understand something rather than insulting the devs, its not a nice way of dealing with things.
Its not s nice way to let the client spend time finding FAQs and manuals every time when they just will run a quick demo in the developers product.
The user shouldn’t spend time in the detective work, where in several places in the computer the installer has hidden the .dll.
Making an installer, which either lets the user to define to plugin location, or if this is not for some reason possible, just a single zip-file, which the user can unzip and drag manually to the desired location.

You should really learn not to insult people, who finance the work of developers, and gives honest and direct feedback, and in this way improves the product and the instructions.

On the 3rd page of the installation, titled "custom Install" you have 3 folders for VST 2, VST 3 and AAX plugins. If you click on the name, the folder should open and there are all the individual plugins. Click on any of these for choices about installing now or later, or not installing at all.

Also, when you click on the VST 2 name, a browse button appears at the lower right of the screen where you can set the install location.
This doesn't apply to the VST 3 plugins as the folder location is set by steinberg.
I assume the same deal applies to AAX plugins but i dont use them so i'm not sure about that.

This works for me on win 10, so i would assume its similar on mac.

The dll's are installed in the places that are set as a default by steinberg, every other dev uses the same defaults.

You keep repeating that you can't define the plugin location but you can for VST2's during the installation process. VST 3's have a fixed installation folder set by steinberg and its best to just leave that alone. You can use symbolic links on windows to move the vst3 folder but i doubt that would be a good option for you with your seeming limited knowledge of how these things work.

Your not giving the devs any useful information as its your lack of knowledge thats causing your problems, nothing they can do about that really.

After some complications, installed the TB_DualVCF by manually moving the .dll in my DAW folder, some comments concerning the plugin itself (which I hope, may be useful for the developer):

1) There are something missing how the LFO effects interact with the host. The first drop-down menu enables the LFO to run in beat sync, beat trigger, or free running mode.
I´m missing two things here: firstly, the Input trigger mode, secondly, how to turn off the cursor.

2) Beat trigger: in this mode, the LFO runs at a frequency specified by the LFO frequency parameter, but will start at the beginning for every measure (e.g. typically every 4 beats) if supported by the host.•Free: in this mode, the LFO runs completely free at a frequency specified by the LFO frequency parameter.

3) But the most usefor mode for me would be the Input trigger mode, whre the LFO starts from the beginning every time, when it gets the MIDI-signal (e.g. when I press the synth key).
This kind of trigger is most common in many applications.

4) The constant LFO cursor running makes me nervous. How to stop it?

With these additions, I may consider even buying the plugin.

Thanks ! I wasn't able to choose the folder or the plugin types (i.e VST2/3 and so on) but I could choose the plugins being installed (dual-vcf...and so on).

Psuper wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 4:28 pm Anyone know a good deal (or know if they discount it on BF) for the SWAM all in bundle from Audiomodeling?

Also if anyone has their instruments or bundle, how do they work their upgrades (frequency/price)?
I've been legitimately asking that question in this thread every few weeks and there's been no response. I think I may get the Strings bundle this month using the 20% off code at JRRShop. I'm tired of waiting for sure and if the full bundle does go on sale on black friday SWAM stuff is resell-able so there's no real risk.
I bought Violin on a previous sale. I didn't realize these supported a Roli Seaboard, which I have. Once I figured that out, I upgraded to the String bundle and also bought Double Reeds.

If you own singles you can upgrade to a bundle. Here is the info:

Good to know both, didn't see a discount code on JRR though. Any thoughts on best strategy to get the all-in bundle for the cheapest right now?

I can wait until BF too, its really not far off, but a solid plan now could help more then too.
Have you tried Vital?

I find it quite repulsive when you insult a dev because of your own user error. Like others have showed you there is a portable version download. You're not a newbie either, you joined in 2006 and you can't figure these things out?

XLN has an early bird sale with 50% off various products using code 'S2S0E2B0'. Sale ends in a few hours though.

Looks like it's slightly better than 'non-early bird' prices. Although, with the usual discounts, I'd imagine JRR/Audio deluxe can match the early bird prices.

I don't know of a site offering more of a discount that JRR etc, their ususal discount. You may just have to wait for a sale.
