That policy will be good for us lot -- but better still for IK and SR, I think.Squids wrote:Actually, just for you lot we held off announcing a new IK/SR virtual instrument at the Messe. (Actually, I was not allowed until we finish Studiophonik). But, instead it will be announced the month it is shipping just to show you #$W#$)*(#$!!!!!
I've no complaint with teasers for future releases. It's the excessive ship-date slippage that riles people up. I've not been waiting all that long so I'm not particularly antsy about it. Based on what you and putte and I* said about AT2 it'll be more than worth the wait.

I went ahead and ordered it from you yesterday. If you had to guess, would you say I have gotten in eary enough to recieve shipment from your initial inventory?
Squids wrote:That is a good question. What you are talking about is purchasing a digital delivery version. IK does do some digital delivery products on the IK Store. However, it is always at full price where if you buy it from an IK dealer you can get a discount. Some like the convenience of it though. Anyway, I am told that digital delivery option for AT2 should happen soon. Don't know when though.wayfind wrote:Squids
Sorry for being dense but I am coming across conflicting info here. I have a Steinberg key. Will there be a downloadable version for a paid upgrade (AT1-AT2), or only for those who get a free upgrade?
You can always just get the upgrade from www.esoundz.com

I kinda figured that once one person got theirs we'd see tons of others giving their reviews as well, but the weeks almost up and only one person got theirs so far? No wonder it's going to take months to fill all the orders, they're only going to send out one package a week....

Yeah! I don't want to piss on AT2's parade, here but I've suspected that the technology had already arrived and that it was just a matter of applying it. I need to get cracking on studio/recording basics!Len wrote:Woo hoo! No need to get AT2!!!!AndrewSimon wrote:The links work for me.Sascha Franck wrote:So, where's the demo?

Seriously, I want the demo. Want to know what it's all about.
I can get very pleasing tones out of GR2 allready (hmpf, I allways wanted to post some snipplets, maybe later today...), so I really wonder what AT2 would give me.

I've got tones I like out of GR2 also, but they were more along the clean to overdrive lines that I fully understand and can get out of other plugs, too. What I wanted out of GR2 or anywhere really, was those hi-gain modern tones that I don't use much (or know how to attain) - but that I really like. Please do make some clips, Sascha! I can hear in the higher gain clip here that a lot of it is doubling (at least) the guitar, that's the stuff I need to get current on.Sascha Franck wrote:Seriously, I want the demo. One step : sorry for my english
I think that in Gr2 the sound is good, and i have made tones similar to my examples linked.
Really good.
BUT, for me, GR2 it's without the concept of "IN FACE SOUND"
It's possible to create a sound and make it "far", with reverbs predelay etc etc.., but it's really hard to make "near" a sound that is far...
and this DEPENDS from the PHYSICAL SITUATION that the programmers have modelled.
I can be the best programmer, but if i create a model of a not so perfect mic position.. i can fail the result. I can be not a best programmer, we say good programmer, but if i create a model of a wonderful mic position and ambient, i make centre! (faccio centro, we say in Italy
)
I hope, as said Putte, that AT2 will be with "in face sound" concept.
and i hope that you understand me AHAH
Ciao !!
