Hlis93 ... I Dl'd those files ... some good stuff in there! I replaced the white background in a couple of the files with a mid grey ...really brings out the 3D effect ... r1 treated in this way is way cool!
Should we maybe start a new thread dealing particularly with textures?

A simple switch:

Two-way switch
It can be easily adapted to a multi-way switch. Also, to make the switch seem flush with the surface, get rid of the drop shadow.

I posted several knobman files for Reaktor Users on my blog earlier this week, there are two sets actually. I did mean to post a note about it here but didn't get to it. They are not the most decorative things you'll ever see and they are simple starting points, I explain why they are this way in the blog if you are interested. Might be a useful starting point for people. Dont worry, these are no strings attached files and free to do whatever you want with.

A few knobs and things that I did this morning. I thought the vintage one turned out well, I really like it. The red set is simple but the bold contrasts really made it standout on a panel. I didnt provide shadows on the knobs as I would place that on a background image.
Heres the .knb file for them to use in any way you like if you like.

Cool, if you want to edit them look at the way the layers on the circle primatives are set up, I use changes in color and brightness to creat the sense of depth instead of the edge hight or lighting tools. The vintage knobs use that as well but the sense of hight for the knob grooves also uses the lighting tools, but more importantly the opacity and difuse, its not tricky but needs to be balance out right or it doesn't work. Nothing really compicated, simple tricks really
have fun.

more knobs theres just never seems to be enough
some of these are very large .knb files 60-100px some are more standard. A few of them require .png files they should load when opening the file. Enjoy.

No, they are layers in the knob loaded as images in the primatives section. You cant use them as texture because they are .png and the textures uses .bmp...they should load as I said when you open it, didn't think to label the layer just in case they didn't. They are in the files that use them so you shouldn't have to look to far if it doesn't.Atmosphere600 wrote:Thanks Hlis93, i notice some of these have images with them.
