Sorry, but judging from this "release candidate" demo, this synth is far from complete...

It's not RC yet, it is in "Beta" status, which means that most of the features are implemented, and could have some bugs.

If you could give us more details on reproducing the issues, we would gladly fix them asap. I played around with selectiong wavetables and couldnt reproduce the issue so far.

Also, when selecting wave sequence start in waveform Btw is there any way to import complete wavetables or single cycle wavs?

Sorry but I couldn't reproduce the issue in the recent minutes. Be sure to have ongoing midi notes / audio
And just toy around with wave things like selecting morphing and etc..

I'm curious why the ".fxp/fxb" preset method was dropped???

I'll take a look at this next week. Basicly our preset extension is smpr/smpp
And we put our presets in specific folders.

How should the flow be for fxp's?

In my opinion Synthmasters browser is much more advanced than fxb/fxp. Basically it's like Kore. By using fxb you could loose all the additional data like the sound designers name and categories or am i wrong ??
Many synths with advanced browsers like NI stuff, Alchemy, Rapture, Arturia synths or Zebra use folders too.

I just had al look at the updated website. Very nice.

Is there a typo? "The Demo version is identical to the standart version except 2 limitations". I am no native speaker but i guess it's called "standard".

effects dont seem to work in 2x or 3x Engine Quality mode

not about beta-testing this time - but just as fanfarecircuit got the "watermark" copy protection discussion going on again in another thread - I wanted to ask after your very noble and userfriendly step to drop c/r for synthmaster 2 - did you think about putting this "watermark"-technique into the new upcoming monstersynth?? Or is it already in our licenses?

Just thought I'd mention it, as this seems to be a copy protection which is both very userfriendly AND might pay off for you as everyone who would give its own license away would be easy to find out - with the "watermark"... Maybe you could add it, if not already planned, or put it in in some later update, 2.1 or whatever .

will after a long working' day go on with beta-testing the synthmaster 2 now

Okay . I just thought I'd mention it, as people rave about that this watermark couldn't be cracked .

Companies should really stop investing in copy protection things other than dongles and e-licenser. Even C/R systems act just a time factor in cracking

For Request :

1/ Could you please consider the opportunity to add SHIFT + CLICK for fine tunig parameters. I have atm really hard times to try different settings for OSC tuning and spend hours going to +1 to -1 Octaves for example aso.

2/ A control + click to reset parameters to their inital default value would also be very usefull (ie Going back to O semitones offset for OSC tuning.

3/ Default values : Could some default values be fixed in a more well .... accurate way : Ie LP filter Cut Off should be set to max value when the filter is activated (now is Minimum = No sound) or the start loop point set at 1 instead of 5 when the number of steps is fixed to 4 ......

Sound Designers can deal with all the above, but I'm not sure some less experimented users will not have hard times with some of these settings .....

I definitely agree. To be honest, I searched for these features instantly, as they are so common in nearly all synths, so it would indeed be great for possible customers to find the shift and click, the reset possibilities and so on - that they are used to from other synths

This week here's my calendar: (If anyone things the prioritization should change post your though here!)

1. Add ctrl/shift click to knob controls.

2. Work on user waveforms, users should be able to import their WAV/AIFF
waveforms, categorize them, etc...

3. Work on improving tooltip displays for some controls, such as the waveform editors.

4. Finish documentation. Will add sections on filters, preset management, preset browser, etc.

5. Update our website www.kv331audio.com.

6. Send press releases to kvraudio, harmony central. Any other places we should consider?

Any thoughts are welcome
