So were macros, didn't they? Only it looks easier to use... or did I miss something?
Anyway I saw a "morphing" block which looks very intersting...
Let's see what user database brings to the table and I'll decide ;)
This was my initial thinking but also consider that all previous creations were self contained and if you wanted to do any serious modifications, you had to get in there - and for those who are just interested in instant sonic results, the environment can be confusing.

Now, if I develop a synth using the standardised block system and you have a different filter that want to use, you can quickly swap it out on the GUI front page without needing to understand more than an overview of modular synthesis.

Ironically, Reaktor demonstrates that it wasn't a modular synth but a prototype environment. *Now it's a modular synth. :D

EDIT: Formatting. Yes. I care.

Hi can u get the R6 if you own Komplete 10 as that has K5 in it.

I own a very old version of Reaktor (have to look at the box to find out which one), heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it's 1.0. Are there upgrade prices for cases like this? I don't seem to find the right page.

Thanks!

can't wait for the zombo.com ensemble :D

Thanks!
I originally upgraded to Komplete with Reaktor 3. Once I logged in to the site it automatically detected that original Reaktor 3 license and offered the upgrade price for it. So I can confirm that an upgrade is possible from R3 on...

OK, perhaps I'm stupid... but is there a demo download? I've been all over NI's site and I can't seem to find one.

I don`t think you are stupid mate, I have looked as well with no luck. I would have thought a demo version would be the first thing they would put up for grabs.

I'm sure the demo will come, but I think putting up a reactor 6 demo before paying upgrades have had a chance to download (quite a big file) may have killed gone bandwidth !

Actualy the download we get when we buy it is the demo, like all NI stuff it opens with the run as demo or activate box, so I guess theoretically someone could post it (it's an ISO file) ?

Maybe the Blocks are compatable with R5 and by allowing a demo of R6 you could take those block elements out, just a guess, as I can see no other reason as to no demo.

Maybe... but that doesn't sound quite right to me considering all the noise they made about optimization and other things. Yeah, you might get a few free bits you could sneak into 5... but worth not having a demo at all?

Oh come on. Who really needs a demo for Reaktor.

Anyone know what the Paul filter is based on? It's described as modeled after early polyphonic analogs (even though it's under the modern section of modules which is weird).

Edit: Paul.. polyphonic analog... Prophet... duh.

Me.

I'm wondering if I should update now or wait until K11. It all depends on what this thing sounds like using the blocks with feedback and modulating the filter at audio rates. If it handles those kind of things really well, I'll buy the update now, get a faster PC and 96khz machine to run it. If not that money's going to fund an SE80.

Does anyone have a demo that showcases these features? My dream is to find a synth that does great osc feedback and audio rate modulation. Diva, though good, isn't cutting it. Too polite.
