Well then you better be a lot older than I am.

Didn't we try to resolve this a while back with a quiz in Ibiza?

age has nothing to do with it.
if anything that might mean youd know a few bands from before my time (but not necessarily under different circumstances) but then id know more from my hay day that would make up numbers.

if you actually meant "and a lot of soul groups you've probably never heard of" then age would be a possible factor, but again, not necessarily.

so no, i don't need to be any age.

you seem obsessed w/ the notion that age confers some kind of status / wisdom ,
that younger people cannot aspire to ..
the only thing that age confers is mileage on the meat puppet * ...

* yes , i've used this before ...

The Pawn Shop

On the corner is a pawn shop
Where I can trade in my heart
Cause I just don't need it no more
On the corner is a pawn shop
Where I can get a new start
One that is so rich and not poor

Swap out the pain for a life that's so free
Better the life that was left just for me

On the corner is a pawn shop
Where I can unload my cares
Cause they're getting me really down
On the corner is a pawn shop
Where my poor soul I can bare
So that happiness can be found

Swap out the pain for a life that's so free
Better the life that was left just for me

On the corner is a pawn shop
On the corner is a pawn shop
On the corner is a pawn shop
Just for me
Just for me

The Pawn Shop
Its either musical theatre performed by robots ( ooh tha phewcha ) or a TV series theme song.
Its uplifting, but has a dark edge because of the lyrics, bittersweet :( :)
Getting all kinda weird ideas from this one :D
Man is least himself when he talks in the first person. Give him a mask, and he'll show you his true face

I'm glad it's given you some ideas. Can't wait to hear what you come up with.

In the phewcha we are plagued by the dying of our ways
For the people who are here, outnumber the few who cheer, lead us onto the deathly light, as they prepare themselves for flight, to the stars, be the stars, we are the stars.
Utter bashcuk  :D

The Door Swings Both Ways

Watcha think you're doin' my friend
We both know how it's gonna end
Scream and yell and throw things around
Til the cops our bodies they've found
To go on for the rest of our days
Just remember the door swings both ways

Scratch and claw just like cats and dogs
Blood and guts as we break the law
Death we knows the only way out
With a whimper or with a shout
To go on for the rest of our days
Just remember the door swings both ways

Instrumental Break

To go on for the rest of our days
Just remember the door swings both ways

A track posted elsewhere reminded me of this piece that I wrote in July of 2013. It's a piano sonata, I guess. It's just a piano and that's it.
