What is UA Zip? Universal Audio?Dirtgrain wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 10:36 am Yesterday, I saw UA Zip on sale for $20. Today, I saw the $20 voucher, and went to see if it would work, and Zip was now at $30. Ha.
I own PA Zip - is it similar?

It's the same thing.

UA is "Unfiltered Audio" but they're under Plugin Alliance.
So you own Unfiltered Audio Zip.
It worked for me. I activated a single plugin for free.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:28 am Does anyone know if the new $20 PA voucher (MEGA-SALE-20OFF) can be used for license transfer activation fees? It says no minimum spend, but thought to confirm.
That's great. Thank you for the confirmation.ralfrobert wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 1:31 pmIt worked for me. Both this and the R4 crossgrade look tempting ?!?
(still searching for something I actually would use to get the "free" Trash/Carbon combo at PB)

MReverb(MB) is cool for 2D positioning, but generally sounds worse I'm afraid.
To be fair, he's comparing it to MTurboReverb which costs 20x as much.Kalamata Kid wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2020 4:37 pm From the thread you linked to:MReverb(MB) is cool for 2D positioning, but generally sounds worse I'm afraid.
If only I had read that two days ago I wouldn't have bothered buying it. Melda should put that on the product page.![]()
Aren't the non-MB versions generally the free ones?Dirtgrain wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 10:54 pm Melda has too many plugins and plug-in versions--it is a bit of a scam. Just the multi-band function--he uses the same code for every MB plugin, but they cost more than the non-MB versions. Why even sell the non-MB versions?
I see a few. Similar to PA with UA Byome and Triad I guess.
Ou_Tis wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 5:59 pm Any compelling reasons to prefer Channel X over the individual plugins? I already have the Pultec (PEX-500) and could get the other two components (preamp and compressor/limiter) for free with the voucher. OTOH Channel X is $10 with voucher.
Channel X lists "Mix control" and "adjustable stereo link", which the PEX-500 EQ plugin doesn't have, but the 7X-500 compressor/limiter plugin does. So does the channel strip also let you apply mix control and adjustable stereo link to the PEX-500 and the preamp?
While it's not 100% certain, there's a good chance, based on past sales, PA will reset the code so you can re-use it a second time towards the end of the sale.paolostylo wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 7:30 am $20 Surprise Voucher from Plugin Alliance!
Use voucher MEGA-SALE-20OFF (No Minimum Spend!) during checkout – Code can only be used 1x (once)
All offers end October 5, 11:59 PM California Time
