- Oxford Inflator
- Oeksound Soothe 2
- Tal-U-NO-LX
- Ample Base
- Keyscape (I know Spectrasonics never does sales, but maybe vendors will do a 15+% off coupon for BF?)
- Sonarworks reference headphone/studio calibration software

Thanks!!
I regularly search the No Chat thread to see if there have been previous discounts and when. I know from reading that thread that Soothe 2 has gone on sale before because I've also got an itch for it, from memory it was 25% off. Sonarworks did a flash sale at the end of August for individually calibrated headphones for 30% off - they sent out emails.

I was going to buy Sonible Smart EQ 2, it's advertised as being on special both on the official site (main home page talking about birthday sale) and on JRR Shop (under featured specials), but both places it's regular price when added to the basket. It's obvious that the sale is finished, it's just both places haven't taken their "signs" down.
I don't want to make a big deal about it, I can take it or leave it. I guess it's at the seller's discretion, but in real life a shop would have to honor the displayed price, mistake or not.
Again, I don't want to make a make a big deal about it, I just wanted to discus the matter. :tu:
I'd be tempted to email them, pointing out that there's a problem with their payment system because it's not showing the discount at checkout. Some places would honour the discount - worth a try at least.

Under English contract law they would not, and I believe it is similar elsewhere. Legally in a typical shop the shelf price is an "invitation to treat", the buyer then makes an "offer" to buy at that price and the shop freely chooses whether to accept this offer.

Interesting. I'm in New Zealand. Here, it's just the way. If a shop forgets to take a sale sign down and the customer sees it, the customer gets the product at that price, but I honestly don't know if it's a "legal" thing, or just a "the customer is always right" thing. And I guess that's what I meant when I said "I guess it's at the shop's discretion". They could just go "fair enough, we'll honor the displayed price" or go "Na, that's a mistake", and risk creating a bad relationship.

As I said, I could take it or leave it. I would have bought it at half price, but it's not worth stamping my feet over. It'll come on sale again. I really just was curious to see how people feel about this, because it does happen in the internet shops from time to time. I did contact Sonible to let them know.

As was mentioned, TAL indeed will likely go on sale based on previous years.

Soothe was as low as $139 so you can expect and hope for that on Black Friday or Xmas.

Oxford Inflator will be 50% as they do half off each year and can be had for as little as $70 through third party vendors.

Sonarworks are likely to offer something similar to 30% in my opinion given perhaps in part to the competition thats just come in from Realphones (this is of course mere speculation).

Hold out, dont give in to full prices, not when its so close..!

I think only new releases and major release updates are discounted. And you get discounts for owning HY a plugins already.

How do the discounts work, given that you buy via third parties?

It's done manually. Whenever he sends out an announcement for a new plugin you can request a discount by listing all the plugins you already have. He is fairly responsive. Details on how to do that are always specified in the email.

Sonible replied, and said; Thanks for letting us know, here's a one time %50 off voucher. So that was nice. I bought it... Everybody wins.

And again, I can't stress enough that I wasn't worked up over the issue, I just wanted to discuss the matter, and was curious as to what people think a company "should" do when this happens. :tu:
