Yup, agree in both points. :D Whatever. I won't bother listening to this one. I really don't need more clutter.
Agree, let's forget and move on. :tu:

Is a no-brainer. I own it for a while. Don't know what I paid; more, but not to much. I like that thing.
I wasn't going to buy it, because i already have Soundtoys, and PSP vintage warmer, and RC-20 Retro Colour, but i am tempted!

I bought it for an Euro some time ago, and never really used it. :) Lots of positive comments about it though. I'd say, get it.

You'll get some iZotope Elements plugin for free on top, when you get it at Plugin Boutique.

I'm wondering whether i really need it. I have Komplete Ultimate. I don't want to use Ilok atm (waiting for new computer). Also i'm thinking when i get the computer, to get Triton (Korg) and M1 from Splice (i make dance).

An under-rated instrument, IMHO. I use it frequently (it comes included with Pro Tools). Simple to use, good arpeggiator, good for finding sounds quickly.

As always, ymmv.

Edit to add: I can, uh, expand on this a little. I really like the Bells and the Mallets sections, and the Hits section. It's super fast to find something simple, like, hey, I need a kick drum - let me bring up the Kicks Menu. Also has very light CPU hit, in my experience.

I really like the Random function of the arpeggiator. I like to use it to make it sound like I can actually play the piano. I'll have sustained chords on one track, then duplicate the track, turn on the arpeggiator, set it to Random and choose 8th notes or quarter notes, and it just adds a few notes in here or there. It's not exactly Elton John but makes it a bit more interesting than I am capable of playing.

I've also used it to figure out a sound I hear in my mind, like a lead synth sound. I scroll through the presets until I find something that I like, make note of what it is, and then if I can't get what I want out of it, at least I know what to look for in other instruments (like its sibling Hybrid).

As I mentioned, it's included with PT, so as I got started writing music in PT many years ago, I used Xpand a lot, so am now very familiar with it. Of course there are many other instruments that can do the same. It's all about your needs. Do you need something simple and good? Xpand might be for you. It's not bottomless like Omnisphere, but it's not endlessly complex either.

I saw this in the description: "Integrated REX player allows you to use and manipulate REX 1 and 2 files."
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Proprietary AIR Structure patch format with encrypted samples. But for $20 you get a lot solid bread and butter instruments.
