Should be soon

I own several of their plugins, but upgrades are not in included in this sale. So that would leave me with some doubles and thus 'wasted' money (yes I know I can resell). Their website now says: "Upgrades are not on sale during our Black Friday Sale while we revamp our upgrade ordering system. Stay tuned for future promotions!".

What do you think, worth the wait for christmas?
Interested in this as well. I hear good things about SoundToys.

Difficult to say without knowing what your bundle upgrade price will be. This post from Ceej a few pages back might help with your decision.

Rajiv wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:06 pm Right now, the bundle price is $583, but my price is $379. That's a way bigger reduction than I recall seeing in the past. Am I just mis-remembering?
It's a bigger reduction in the past. Also, Output has a history of raising prices (fixing pricing errors) after a few days, you might want to jump on it ASAP.
Ended up going for the full Output bundle yesterday. Those are some resource hogging products!! Minimum CPU usage is around 15% to 20% and I saw my RAM usage go up to 10GB on a single Kontakt instrument. Very inefficient use of resources for the sounds you can get elsewhere. Not to mention, the GUI was laggy even when I wasn't playing anything. Granted, my computer is an older build but I can play Orchestral Tools libraries just fine and the coding in their Kontakt instruments are notorious for being resource heavy.
I only use their effects, but I think hardware makes a BIG difference. I was on a 2012 2.6Ghz 4 core Core i7, 16GB RAM MacBook Pro Retina and 1 instance of output movement brought it to a crawl. Now I'm on a 2019 2.4Ghz 8 core Core i9 32GB RAM, and movement barely moves the needle. I don't quite connect that dot, but it is what it is.

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en ... rview.html
The effects do not run in Kontakt though. They also don't take as much RAM as a full blown Kontakt orchestral strings library.

Also, Movement is the most efficient of the bunch in the whole bundle. In an empty project, a single copy of Portal or Thermal can use up to 20% CPU just by me click and dragging the cursor within the XY zone. And all this without me feeding any audio to it.

Yeah, I was disappointed with the upgrade offer so I'm waiting til I can't stand it any more and have a gas explosion. Or Christmas.

Is Session Horns Pro worth it right now at $149? Just need something for those 80s R&B/Soul brass lines and that doesn't seem like a bad price. Does it ever go lower?

Its great, I got it. But I put out a WTB on the buy/sell forum and got it for ~$135.
You might find a bunch of people who bought Komplete having a spare cheap license.

I'll try putting out a line for $135 and see if anyone wants to give it up.
