So if wagtunes is using an old monitor he already has a good size of GUI, a new one will only make it smaller.
this.

i dont know why you guys are telling him to get a bigger/better monitor if hes already complaining that guis are too small. larger monitor = smaller gui
No. Unless a bigger screen also means a signinficantly bigger resolution. If he runs a 17" 5:4 screen now, which i assume, he has a resolution of 1280x1024. Buying a 22" full HD display will not be an improvement, as it has the same scale, a 24" full HD screen will make the GUI's bigger, and a 27" full HD screen will further enlarge the GUI's. Of course, the downside will be that you have a lower ppi, but, i think the ability to better read the GUI elements will outweigh that really.

Older VST's with smaller GUI's will always be a problem, but, it will be a much bigger problem with an old, small, low resolution display, that nowadays GUI's are fit to nowadays resolutions.

Sound-wise, it's top notch, imo. Yes, price is very tempting.

If the thread title could be updated it would be spot on, like this:

Poly-Ana 2: Coming soon from Admiral Quality.

I use amd processor on my system. (Amd 1090t)

Is this related to my 'cpu-hungry' situation?

If Pa is on par with ni monark w.r.t cpu hit, i would buy it immediately.

Only by 2007 standrds.
Murderous duck!

Maybe I would go for the Manic Street Preacher angle: A design for life 8)

Probably. I still have the 1100T, almost the same as yours :P And the same bottleneck at that...

Basically yes, up until the launch of Ryzen a few weeks ago.

I honestly don't know what people are hearing when they say the sound is only good by 2007 standards. I am extremely picky about the synths I buy when it comes to sound, especially these days now that I have so many. But I'll tell you, if the GUI was even close to being workable for me, I'd be picking this up in a heartbeat, especially at that price.

I mean what synths that cost $45 sound this good?

But there are people who say these synths sound like crap.

Zebra 2
Serum
Softube Modular

So I guess taste is taste and you're never going to please everybody.

I think this synth sounds amazing. I just wish I could use it.

Don't judge a book by its cover ? The basic GUI is, imho, horrible beyond everything I could ever describe, and worst of all it appears to me purely unusable to program (seriously, WHAT HAPPENED WITH THAT GUI ?!... :o ), but I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by the sound : it's really not bad at all.

But I don't think I will buy it. This synth seems like an unfinished product to me, and when I get this feeling I don't feel like digging any longer. There's no installer, the 32 and 64 bit dll are mixed into the same folder (which used to be a problem for Cubase before Cubase 9), the soundbanks aren't even properly named, everything in this plugin looks like it's been made in seconds. Everything except the sound engine.

Maybe some reviews could make me change my mind...

Ryzen has SSE?
I heard PAis optimized for Intel SSE.

Oh, yes, then that 2007 standard is still relevant. :tu:
