right now it's pretty boring... it records a whole number of bars (with automatable record button) and plays back the loop in sync once you stop recording. and it can save the loop as a midi file. that was the hard part, i hope... now it only needs a GUI and more features.maki wrote:YESSSSS!!!!!!!!

Yes, of course: a database with 16 SONGS of 16 PARTS and 16 PATTERNS per PART. In addition, every of those 16 patterns per PART can be recorded and playedback in its own midi channel and that individual PARTS and BANKS can be loaded with just one controlltrigger on a programmable midi controller.insertpizhere wrote: ... now it only needs a GUI and more features.
I must order an 128 model x-keys as a controllsurface so I could start jamming right away.

i'm alive
i made a lot of requests, all that i need at the moment has been wrote.
i thought to reorder all my requests\ideas but i prefer to wait for a decision of piz about a personal kvr forum.
at the moment the most awaited news for me are:
drag&play and chord play in midipads
a sign of interest about a cc-scene\snapshot plugin
debug of directions control in midi2mouse
more slots in midi2qwerty
please
note2toggle
rotary and endless controllers

i've been busy with other stuff (mainly "real life"), and the new XT2 betas this week knocked this thread off the first page... which is good, since this is the energyXT forum.
anyway, starting tomorrow i'll have more free time.

i updated the windows and linux packages. mac will come later today (edit: uploaded). nothing exciting. this was mainly to bring the linux versions up to date.
changes 20071124:
* Added midi16CCRouter.
* midiAudioToCC now has somewhat working "inertia" and "rate" parameters. not perfect yet.
* next time i might remove XT2 transport control
Windows: http://thepiz.org/xt/pizmidi20071124.zip
Linux: http://thepiz.org/xt/pizmidi20071124.tar.bz2
Mac OS X: http://thepiz.org/xt/pizmidi20071124.dmg

insertpizhere I know were a bit ravenous with the requests! Big respect on the plugs you've made so far! I did have one question.. Did you put together a MIDI quantizer/shuffler/swinger/groover?? Or was that one in the works?
Please let me know...
Whoa this is in the updated zip file??

i haven't started on that yet. i want to have those functions in the looper, so i will be working on it, but i don't know if i'll make it a separate effect before or after i do the looper.Lagrange wrote:insertpizhere I know were a bit ravenous with the requests! nope... it's not in a usable state yet, but it's getting there.insertpizhere wrote:i tried, but it's more difficult than it should be, so i took a break to work on other things, like the midi looper.-PIKU- wrote:is there any new regarding drag&play in midipads?Whoa this is in the updated zip file??

plugin request: a simple vst that hosts images with resize. if possiblewith the possbility to write texts over the image
midi2qwerty: when i hold a note, it's not like i hold the corresponding key on the keyboard. it sends only one impulse.
if possible please add learn and more slots!

ok, i adapted some midiPads code to do this. http://thepiz.org/xt/image.zip-PIKU- wrote:plugin request: a simple vst that hosts images with resize. if possiblewith the possbility to write texts over the image
it works about the same way... drag & drop to load images (png, jpg, gif, svg), or make a folder called "images" and put files named "1.svg" through "32.svg" in there. those will be the default images for each preset. they don't have to be real svg files, if you want to use jpegs or whatever. right-click to choose a background color and type some text.
later i'll implement program change so you can change the image with midi.
it's supposed to act like holding the key down. i guess it doesn't work exactly the same. it may be a limitation of the fake keystrokes i'm generating... not sure.midi2qwerty: when i hold a note, it's not like i hold the corresponding key on the keyboard. it sends only one impulse.

a long time ago i started a GUI version that could learn keystrokes and midi, but it wasn't learning everything right... ideally this would be the way to go, and you would be able to add as many slots as you wanted. that would be a lot of work though.
i could just add more slots to the non-GUI version. that shouldn't take long. how many would you want?

at least 8 ... ideal 16 slots
if possible add visualization of note number near to the note name
add off mode for unused slots
and regarding the resolution of sliders (100 not 127) and the lacking of some values... you could limit the note and cc range to 100. i think it would be much more comfortable to KNOW what values are missing
