Thanks for the tip on swapping the colours via the ACE txt. stuff...Much appreciated, i'll give that one a try.

Just tried it - it works!!! :tu:

Kind of a 'Peachy' pink but nonetheless...it is clearer (for me) to see it.

Thanks again

After Right-click on the ACE component, the path is: /Contents/Ressources/Scripts

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ACE.component

ctrl-click: show package contents:

Contents/Resources/Scripts

If you want a direct link:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ACE.component/Contents/Resources/Scripts

The VST's version of the file can be accessed in a similar way

Absolutely loving Ace , nice work Urs .

Is there any chance u could put a save/load function for the mapper , so we could have ready access to user defined 'maps' ?

Just bought the damn thing .. Cat ran away after few tweaks :)

1 Question about the wavemapper .. Can you actually let it work like a stepsequencer ? :help:

Yeah it would be *really* nice to have it beat synced like the LFOs, not jsut 1/4 or 4/4. I guess you could map an LFO with a ramp oscilator and sync it to be beat, but it just seems a waste of an LFO for something that simple. :(

Wow, okay, so you can't do tempo synced stuff with the mapper at all as you can't feed an LFO through it either.

Just welcomed ACE into my lighter studio setup. Couldn't resist it.

Not sure if anyone has said it yet but this thing is MUCH better than Synth Squad's Strobe. Also a little lighter on the CPU and wallet. Damn it Urs. I never really fell out of love with your stuff but ACE is exceptional.

Going to add Zebra to my list of re-purchases on the back of this!

Of course you can. Set your mod mapper to 4/4, map smooth mode, and ramp source. Setup your rhythmic pattern on the mod mapper and patch it to LFO 1 S+H and the LFO tune mode to Sync, then patch the LFO to your filter cutoff or whatever. Use the LFO tune mode and fine tune (beats mode) to change the speed of the mod mapper.

Ok tried that and it works but it's not what I expected. Anyway, no worries, there is still automation :)

Bought it today and been a fan of U-He since Rumblence-Zoyd back in 2003.
Love it Urs! :)

I actually find that the way ACE is set up, is wonderfully flexible. It just takes a few, well, minutes to get used to it :hihi:

Someone requested this in the sound design forum and I made it by accident while experimenting with the mapper:
XBR Cellnoise

I hope I'm not spamming the thread at this point

Lol! You're right, that makes sense. However, that doesn't let you use mapper as a step sequencer or keep it in tempo (unless the ramp is tempo synced?).

Turn the ramp up/down controls all the way up and the rest/hold controls all the way off to have it bounce back and fourth. Use the sync/beat controls (try 2.00, 4.00, etc) of the LFO to change the syncopation, and it will stay in sync.
